too many games... making my head hurt even more. well, here we go...
louisville (-6) 3 units. sure, notre dame has played everybody close this year. sure, louisville has been a disappointment. but i think ND's latest close loss was the stake through the heart. you can only come that close so many times before it finally wears on you. louisville starts rolling towards the big east tourney today.
miami fl (+1) 2 units. 'canes playing decent. GT is not (6 straight losses).
kansas st (-3.5) 2 units. don't look now, but k state is becoming almost respectable in the big 12. ok st has lost 4 straight conference games since a 2-1 start.
lasalle (+4) 2 units. after 5 straight losses, lasalle has now won 2 in a row. i think temple's a little overvalued after the win over maryland.
clemson (+9.5) 2 units. with one exception (blowout loss at miami), clemson has been competitive on the road this year. nc coming off the big win at maryland with round one against duke on deck. if i could trust clemson to hit more than 50% of their FT's, i'd like this play a lot more.
cleveland st (+7.5) 3 units. i'll continue to play the vikings on the road. if not for detroit shooting 91% (31 out of 34) from the line the other night, cleveland st would have covered that game for me. loyola has been very inconsistent this year. this is the final game of a 6-game homestand. they're 3-2 so far, but have lost 2 of the last 3.
iowa (-4) 2 units. something tells me i'm going to the well too many times. i've got a lot of mileage out of the hawkeyes at home, so i may as well continue to ride the gravy train 'til i get thrown off.
auburn (+3.5) 3 units. no, auburn hasn't even been competitive in conference road games. this play is purely against miss st. they've lost 7 straight in conference after winning their first game by 2. they've lost their last 3 home games by 15, 23, and 14. sure, they've played good teams, but you'd like to see SOME sign of trying to defend your homecourt in conference.
virginia tech (+3.5) 2 units. gonna be tough for bc to bounce back from the duke game and focus on the hokies.
tulane (-2.5) tulane has won 2 straight and 3 out of 4. marshall is a little overvalued after the W over west virginia.
drake snack cakes (+2.5) 2 units. drake has lost 4 straight, but 3 were on the road and the other was a 2-point home loss to n iowa. gonna be tough for the blue jays to get up for this game after their big win over n iowa.
