"the bunker"
i thought

i thought

the book "red dragon" was by far more entertaining and down right frightening than any of the movies....i`d say "silence of the lambs" and "manhunter" were excellent.....hannibal was quite good, especially the ray liotta "head" scene and gary oldman doing another off the wall performance...the guy`s a damn good actor....

i thought "red dragon" was awful...with horrible casting....ralph fiennes was boring as the villain....you have to have a compelling villain......i didn`t even like edward norton in the movie....and i think norton is a fine actor....miscast....

I haven't seen the new one, but of Manhunter, Silence, and Hanny, I'd havtasay

Silence of the Lambs

hands down

True Story: I was just in the middle of writing a neat brain-munching short story when I first saw Hannibal. Kinda pissed me off. Still haven't finished it. Nothing is original anymope.

The first movie put out 10+ years ago with Peterson (the guy from CSI) is really good, much better than the remake. I still probably like silence a little better though; the Hannibal character was much, much better, and the movie freaked me out a bit.

Silence of the Lambs is one of my top 10 favorite all-time movies.

I really liked both Manhunter and Red Dragon as well.

I went to see Hannibal in the theater the opening weekend as I couldn't wait for it to come out. I was so disappointed that I could hardly stand sitting through it. And it's one of my all-time least favorite movies.

Hannibal is such a great character and Anthony Hopkins plays it incredibly.

what up toy.

Hannibal was annoying, kinda like fumbling around with the 9th grade beer whore when your prom date disses you for a Senior in his Cavalier Convertable.

Manhunter was a good movie for it's time. I definitely thought Norton was miscast for his role in Red Dragon and agree with gardenweasel. Fiennes was about as menacing as Rudy Galindo at a Hells Angels gathering.

I don't think anything can ever top Silence of the Lambs, if on anything pure shock value alone.

1. "Silence" is Golden. Top of the list.

2. "Dragon" was ok, I'd say worth a rental.

3. "Hannibal" was less than ok, but I've got a soft spot for
leggy redheads.:brows:

I've never viewed "manhunter".

Never saw Hannibal as most of the negative reviews kept me away. Silence of the Lambs of course was a tense classic. Not far behind in my mind is the great Manhunter. Directed by one of my favorite directors Michael Mann, it doesn't have hardly any gore which seems odd for a movie like this. To be honest it has a Miami Vice type style to it with the music and visuals, which isn't a negative for me. Tom Noonan is much better than Fiennes that is certain. William Peterson does a great job. To be honest I am surprised he hasn't had a more notable career. Manhunter and To Live and Die in LA are among my favorite movies from the 80s.

Hannibal was a terrible book.Ridley Scott butchered it into even a worse movie.

I though Red Dragon was very good and better than Manhunter.

Silence of the Lambs was far and away the best movie of the four.

Hannibal sucked the Big Eggroll...Horrible. Wouldn't let my dog eat it if Purina made it.

Red Dragon and Manhunter...Both almost the same in comparison. But I give the edge to Red Dragon.

Silence of the Lambs was very good. Got a thing for Jodi Foster. Would love to father her children, but without the child support.

funny how i just found this post....

wifey and i rented Red Dragon tonite...

I thought it was an ok movie....throwing the plot out the window....i just enjoyed the movie for the psychological profiling....takes one to know one.... :)

i was always into that kinda shizznit.

I couldn't understand the romance surrounding Fienes and Watson....yeah sure, she's blind and can't see the scar on his lip, but man...the dude's wierd....??? and she couldn't see ( no pun intended...) that? kinda ruined red dragon's character....

the plot aside, i always enjoy the musical scores of Danny Elfman....:D
