The ball and chain is begging me to go for our tenth anniversary. She first stated that she read its beautiful in the fall...I, of course, said calmly, But, thats football season!! Now, it looks like summer....Does anybody know if it is worth the trip?

Greece is a beautiful country if you know where to go. Mostly the islands surrounding Greece are a must see. My wife is Greek and her Mother was born there on a little island called Nicinos not sure on the spelling, my wife isn't home right now. My father in law may he Rest in Peace was born here, but his Mother was born in Sparta.
We went to Greece about 10 years ago for 2 weeks with the whole family and got see alot of of the country. My wife and I went on a 5day cruise during our time there and got to see alot the great islands like Santorini, Kos, Mykonos and a bunch others.
I would suggest not going in the summer, that is when we went and it is ungodly hot and the country has very litte A/C.
But I guarantee it is worth the trip, spend some time in Athens and Rhodes, a bigger isand and then take a cruise to see all the islands.

This is going to be a busy year to go to Greece with the Olympics coming. I would recommend only a few (two) days in Athens, then head out on the mainland or to some islands. My favorite island of all is Santorini. It is magical and you will have an unforgettable experience. Stay in Imerovigli on the island if you go. I highly recommend a place called "Lukas Villas". What a great place. You can find them on the web.
