Has anyone actually scored 100 points in a NCAA game?

I believe USC just might try tonight. Texas won 62-0 so I look for USC to go for 100!

Would not surprise me.

they will not try for 100. if they get up over 60, they will just pack it in. teams know it looks bad on them if they do anything more.

Sure

Houston beat Tulsa 100-6 long ago.

Georgia Tech 222-0 v Cumberland

Cumberland got hosed in that game to get shut out. They had a 3rd and 12 deep ball called back on a bad replay review.

worse yet BetCRIS had cumberland +220 points......

Georgia Tech was running the ball for the last drive 15 plays in a row....and should have took the knee.......horrible beat if you had cumberland.

STOP REMINDING ME ABOUT THAT GAME!!! call me a sucker, but i LOVED getting 220 points. the final knife in the back was when they went for 2 after their last score. i felt that was really rubbing it in. :cursin: :cursin: :cursin:

Alcoha won this weekend 91-7 in class 2AA , they have some studs.
2 are going to FSU, and 2 are staying here with the Falls.

recall that Houston game and was gonna post it from memory, was living in dallas as a kid at time---Paul Gipson was HOU star RB :)

cumberland game was never completed, they hopped a train and left in 2nd half long before final gun, read that story in strange but true fball tales book as a kid ...

and heres one more, Portland State, coached by USFL guru of run and shoot fame, Mouse Davis, tutored Neil Lomax who tossed 7 TDs!! in the first quarter of a 105-0 rout of Delaware State in 1980.

wonder if kids read bios and stories on sports stars anymore, jeesh free reading was big in my day, everyone carried a non texbook of some kind and wasnt considered a nerd either :)

Wow. I can't believe Tech set themselves up for a possible "revenge" spot like that. I'll take Cumberland moneyline next time they play. :mj14:

Actually PT1gard this may make you feel a little better. Both my sons just completed book reports on Jackie Robinson and Derek Jeter, respectively.

I was just like you as a kid, read every biography I could get my hands on....heck I even read Lew Burdette's bio!

PtGard, that is amazing that the first thing I thought of when I saw this post was 105-0. I knew I was really young, but I just remembered seeing a score go across the screen and Delaware also came to my mind. Some things just stick with you and its not very often you see 100+ points in a football game. Had no idea who Mouse Davis was at the time. Ah, youth.

I remember seeing scores go by on the screen being really young, back in the early to mid 80's. That Delaware St. one is only one I can remember seeing over 100. But there would always be some team scoring like 70 or more.
There is so much more parity now with the reduction of scholarships, etc.
Also, Houston with Klingler and Andre Ware used to put up a ton of points every week.

Not sure how old you are nole47 but were you around when Charlie Barnes was the stadium announcer? It was in the 70's. I was a punk kid. He always cracked me up with, "Tonight's attendance.....63,451...........and one horse".
God rest his soul.
