I saw it the other night and thought it was better than average. My wife and I go to alot of movies and most of them are below average. This one at least had alot of action and did not get corny along with some good acting. Only thing missing was a little skin.
I liked it.
Found just a couple flaws in the stream of the movie, but one can't pick away at any movie and get those.
I always like to see an actor step out of his expected routine. I think the cold/dry character Cruise played and the clean cut character Jamie Fox played made this goodl.
Things go from 0 to 60 in this one. Sometimes a bit slow but instant pickup occurs in time. No real "over-the-top" performances in this one as you might expect in a movie with this plot and these actors because none of the characters had that type of thing in them.
I would recommend it.

predictable...
the end would have been better if J fox and that lady thought Tommy was dead... but he came back and greased em both thus completing his mission
