For awhile now. Alot of Rockefeller republicans (like my father) have gone to the democrats. Own guns or a gun but don't care if there are extended background checks and don't need assault rifles. Don't give a shit who gets married or what a women does with her body. Makes good money but doesn't mind to pay a fair share of taxes. Feels the tax codes should be more like it was in the 60s and 70s. Etc etc etc. As long as you are either a bible thumper, ayn rand worshipper or all around two dimensional thinker who falls to simplistic rhetoric then you got the modern GOP. (There are exceptions though)
