So Cal
two things will happen - count on it.
#1 There will be a flood of appeals on a variety of grounds. Jessie Jackson already promised one due to the minorities that were disinfranchised due to the lack of polling places. Polls opened at 7am and closed at 8pm.
#2 Before Davis officially leaves office he will appoint people with lightning spped. He has already appointed 3 times the number of people to commissions, etc. that he has in the past. He will fill every open spot with his political cronies.

...........................................

Yeh and Arnold will come right in behind him and kick every one of them cronies out on their ear. Arnold aint stupid.

I think that California will be amazed at what Arnold will be able to accomplish during his time in office.

It is differant when someone is making decisions based on what is right and good for the state and not what politician you have to suck up to.

I wish this had happened in Georgia. Politics need a kick in the pants with regular citizens having a chance. Its sad that it takes someone like Arnold because you have to have millions just to get in . That should tell you something right there. They dont want us in there. They make too much cash.

Changes for the better on the way ! Just watch.

GO ARNOLD !

i'm surprised that jesse jackson has time to do anything while he's busy having illegitimate children, and couseling presidents, and shaking down corporations. gray davis's answer to creating the mess of an economy is to raise taxes again. car tax multiply times three. as far as polling places go, maybe they could have dodone an absentee ballot or touchscreen ballot. the aclu said that the minorities weren't capable of handling regular ballots. WHY ISN'T THAT RACIST? why weren't they crying when davis squeeked out last year.:thefinger

As comical as this election seems, hard for me to see how Arnold can do much worse than Davis.

ACLU new project.
Defending woman who lied about suspect in shooting. Story I saw on news last depicts following.
Policeman shot black (can I say that) suspect whom he said pulled a gun. Was small crowd there when it happened and all swore suspect had hands in air and no weapon when he was shot by policeman. HOWEVER the suspect recovered and admitted pulling gun on policeman. All observers quickly recanted their testimonies except the one lady (who had pending warrant out on herself at the time). Now if the suspect had died and not admitted the fact this cop was looking at 60 years. You think this outfit (ALCU) don't have agendas??

So Cal
California would be better off with me as governor than Davis. Davis stood for everything dirty politicians have exemplified since the very first election. His only policy was to pander to those who pumpd up his coffers with large donations. He would change his stance on issues simply to garner votes. He outright lied about the budget and with the help of both republicans and democratic legislators, has spent California into the poor house. The voters have said enough of this. Hopefully, this is a trend that will continue. Oddly enough, we hear so many people complain that the recall is uncalled for and circumvents the will of the people. Nothing could be further from the truth. The constitution in California provides for recall elections - we just haven't had one on this scale. A full 42% of those that signed the recall petition were democrats. The tried to recall Reagan, but couldn't get enough signatures. This ws no hijacking, but may have been a mutiny.
