I was at a Sears store looking at shorts while my wife was strolling the mall.
Monday afternoon, apparently at an Oklahoma shopping mall, you can throw bowling balls down the aisles, and no one would get hurt.
I counted 8 shoppers in the entire 2 story mega store, and 2 cashiers stations, one up , one down.
Anyhow, found nice $40 shorts (supposedly) on sale for $14.99.
Tried em on, popped a hundred dollar bill on the cashier to see what would happen in this day of almost cashless everything.
She tested it with a "magic pen" opened her cash drawer, and said "I can't change it".
She called someone for assistance, another cashier shows up, calls someone else for PERMISSION to open the second cash register to make change...
The world is racing towards a totally cashless society
where the Gubberment with a keystroke can shut your banking, and life, down.
I want to see a day where all this electronic "gadgetry" just has a glitch for a day or two, and all these trusting souls at the grocery store are told their purchase must be cash only till the problem is solved.
Thank God for casinos, they UNDERSTAND cash....
