You can NEVER EVER handicap the effects of playing on the Island and the home cooking of the refs. Unless you have ever watched many Hawaii Football & Basketball games you have NO CLUE what home cooking is till you have seen it for yourself in Hawaii teams. Save your money if the books truly believed BS would win this would be closer to a PICK and not +4 or +3.5. This should be a high scoring affair and June knew it was the GAME of the year for them and thats why we never saw Colt last week but for 2 snaps (that was pyschological). Good Luck.

This is true the guys reffing this game actually live on the island. Hawaii gets away with murder at home.

I like Boise State too. If BSU doesn't win this game they have no chance at a BCS at large bid. They dealt with the pressure last year and will be able to do it again at Hawaii.

Reffing or not BSU is the team to beat in this game, not Hawaii.

Sorry Colt, I like the guy too but too much BSU tonight

Everyone keeps talking about the advantage due to "home cooking" by playing in Hawaii...typically this is because the officials live and work on the islands. Found this tidbit for tonights game...

"The officiating crew for Friday's game will be an experimental group that features three Big 12 officials, two WAC officials and two Mountain West officials. The crew was assembled to test the idea of switching from conference officiating crews to regional officiating crews, like college basketball uses.

The crew will work four games in each participating conference this season and never see the same team twice. Its assignments have included Missouri-Oklahoma, Fresno State-Nevada and Nebraska-Wake Forest."

Haven't made a play either way yet, just passing on some info.

Matchups seem to really favor Boise. When you've got a really strong running team, I really think it simplies things. BSU running game vs Hawaii run D. Whoever wins that battle wins the game. Hawaii's run D has gotten run over by Fresno, La Tech and Nevada. The reason Hawaii's season stats vs the run is not awful is thanks to Hawaii playing the worst schedule in D1 to date. Their weak run d will be exploited all night I have to beleive. In addition, BSU is only giving up 185 yds/game in the air this year.

i have Hawaii (-2), and the Under (76) for 1 unit each. i see both offenses moving the ball against "bend don't break" style defenses, but not as explosive as the books would indicate. i look for Hawaii to make more big plays on offense.

Hats off to Hawaii. That was one hell of a physical
game. My only regret in this bet was the amount
wagered. I should have made this a regular wager
due to the fact that I don't follow the WAC conf.
I know the Pac 10, Big 12, and the SEC and need
to limit my big wagers to those conf. Hawaii def.
vs Boise off. was the difference in this game. Again
congrats to Hawaii and the Hawaii backers.

Sorry Kramer. I tried to warn you, man. If you are on the same side as me in college, then get off that bet in a hurry.
