I've been watching Hawaii play in Bowl games for decades, and Smitty's right it's probably most often in Hawaii!
And no, I don't think the Hawaii players get bored with it.
And yes, I think there's always a very good chance the visiting team gets caught up with the hula dancers and the luau,
but I think that's more so with teams the came from the chilly winter of the north/northeast.
Hawaii's program has always been about offense since June Jones came out of the NFL (Falcons QB) and decided they were going run and shoot, they haven't always been great, but I've always found 'em entertaining!
They've had some good, very good, and a couple near-great teams, this year's probably just good.
I'm not sure why the total is at 51...
IF you take away Cal's stinker (Lost 34-0 to my Aztecs), their other games were mostly competitive and their offense was able to score both at home and on the road. I do like their coach, he took over a few years ago and has turned this program into a competitor.
The Hawaii coach is their former QB (Timmy Chang) and he was a helluva competitor and could fling it!
I don't know much about Cal's personnel this year, but in this game, they'll be chasing points (I really hope!)
