Nice win for Hawaii. Glad I took the points and didn't put anything on the ML. I still say the only team I know of, college or pro, that actually plays to win when they have a lead in the 4th quarter is the Patriots. Everyone else gets soft and plays not to lose. Nevada deserved to lose this game. Good for Hawaii.

No, there are coaches who can play with a lead. Pats just have way more talent/coaching than anyone right now and feel like pouring it on.

Who are they? Just about every team I've seen this year gets ultra-conservative on offense, just trying to run the clock out. Then when that doesn't work and they have to go on defense, they go into prevent and just hope the clock runs out before the other team scores. At least the vast majority of the games I've watched have played out that way...

Its tough to say. Tressel can play with a lead for the most part...

It can be a no-win situation though from what your saying...

If a team gets too conservative and blows a lead, then its bad coaching. But if they don't run clock and/or turn the ball over trying to score, then its the coaches fault...

NCST manhandled UNC last week. But they got greedy a couple times, esp in the first half. If they went into "ultra-conservative" mode, they would have won by 20 points. Instead they are lucky as hell to have won.

Don't single the Pats out in this one. They can do anything they want with that offensive line and those weapons on offense....
