okay ladies and gents.....i will 100% admit that i BLEED Black and Gold, and have since age 5 (18 years ago) ;)

I've seen a few people in here say how they think the Hawks would manhandle the Bucks right now, but would like the honest opinion of those who may NOT be Hawkeye Fans.

Realize that i am looking at this season thru rose colored glasses, so wondering if i just THINK they look awesome, or if they actaully do :D

(next week still scares the hell out of me :( , so REALLY wish Purdue could have hung on today.)

Guess the ultimate in happiness out of this season would come when Banks is recognized as the Heismann hopefully that he appears to me to be deserving of being considered for.

If Ohio State takes a loss, maybe they should be matched up in a Bowl Game against IOWA.

Maybe The Liberty Bowl.. he he he:lol:

No but really it would be a great game !

Banks should win the Heisman. He's got better numbers than Dorsey. Not bad for a guy who wasn't considered the best QB in the state one month ago.

Watched my Boilers lose heartbreakers two both of these 2 Big 10 leaders. Early in the season I would have said OSU was the better team, but at the present time I would give the nod to the red hot Hawkeyes. Feel both BCS worthy. Good Luck to Fans of both teams.

ya know....even thru these funky glasses, i'm still not saying Brad should WIN it......just saying that when i do a search on the internet for Heismann Hopefulls, he should be a CONTENDER :)

and Bohawk, as much as i'd like to see the matchup, i'm saying the same thing....LOL "sure glad we don't play OSU this year" :)

Im a badger football fan so you know im gonna give you an honest opinon. The Hawks are the best team in the big 10 without a doubt i wish they would play ohio st this season because there is no doubt in my mind the hawks are a better team. They should be undefeated right now i have no clue how they blew that game against iowa st.
Hawks are Defenetly in the Top 5 teams in football right now.

Too bad they don't play each other. Would've been a good matchup with Iowa's great offense against OSU's super defense (no td's in the last 3 1/2 games) and solid special teams.

Everyone bashes the bucks because they win ugly, :nono: :nono:
but that's basically their gameplan......conservative playcalling, no offensive mistakes, keep it close and let the D and special teams take over. So far so good.

Here's a funny story...I asked a Iowa St fan yesterday during the Iowa game who he thought was the better QB, Seneca or Banks?

His response: Banks is half the QB that Seneca is....Are you kidding me? And he was serious.

Banks' stats: 60.6 comp %, 23 td to 4 int, 2269 yds passing and 348 yds rushing to:

Seneca: 57.7 comp%, 13 td to 13 int, 2657 yds passing and 211 yds rushing.

Maybe he meant Banks is twice the QB!!!!!!!!

And Iowa State spent a ton of money hyping Seneca and Iowa hasn't spent a dime. Banks has done his promoting on the field!!

The Ohio St/Iowa game....Ohio St hasn't looked impressive the last few weeks but find a way to win, which all great teams do. At Kinnick---Iowa wins......At the Horseshoe----hell we've won at the Big House and Happy Valley-------Iowa wins!!!!!!

Hey Mama...Do you know how many tickets are left for the Minnesota game?

As far as to who the better Pro prospect is between Banks and Wallace, my vote goes to Wallace. Banks is a servicable college QB who plays in the right system for his limited talents. Wallace on the other hand is Iowa State this season. Take him off the Cyclones and all you have left is Baylor.

Hey Mama--

Going to the game this weekend? We are flying up Friday night-- staying in Plymouth with some old college buddies. Bunch of us rented a box to watch the game. Not to worry about us losing, Mama. Michigan exposed Minny for the pretenders they are. Great record built against lousy teams.....Hawks win!

The Heisman and NFL potential have no correlation. We've already seen Gino Torretta win the award. Its about who the best college football player is, and nobody is having a better year than Banks. I'm also surprised Chris Brown's name hasn't come up.

Valuist,

Agreed. There are plenty of guys that have won the Heisman and turned out to be lousy Pros. Heck, Charlie Ward became a Pro basketball player. Didn't see where the question was about this college season. While Nathan Chandler has not played much for Iowa this season, I believe he would be almost as effective in our offense as Banks has been-- simply because ours is a run-oriented offense. I don't know if Iowa State could function as well without Wallace-- making Wallace a more valuable member of his team than Banks is to his. Not saying I want to see Banks out of the lineup-- just tossing some ideas out there for us to kick around......:D

chris brown is a great playerr and person--veryquiet and such a hard worker-played all year with a bad back--does not look fast but once he gets going he has long strides--finds the holes adn is patient until the play forms--was asked about the heisman and says he is not interested just wants to win games--will be a good article on him on espn game day saturday--they filmed it yesterday--this kid is very tough to bring down-some pepole don't like him becaue he fumbles but that is usually because he is dragging tacklers and wants one more yard instead of going down--us cu fans hope he stays another year
