HBO cancels "Luck"

Kinda sucks. I liked the show.

They are cancelling because of 3 horse deaths (euthenizations) at Santa Anita (where the series is filmed). They were in the middle of shooting the second season when they reached the decision to stop filming.

barbaro died during the triple crown a few years ago.....then eight bells died during the triple crown a few years later

why are they still running triple crown races when clearly t's too dangerous!

i saw a few horses die at del mar last year...shockingly, they kept racing, even 22 minutes later for the next race.

I have to ask you....Knowing that people here will jump down your throat if you look the wrong way, why do you give them ammunition ?

I liked the show also, thought it was a great cast. But of course they have to cancel the show & there should be some type of investigation as to why these horses died. People should be held accountable if there was any negligence.

Watching a horse in the stretch run of a race is a beautiful sight imo....
