Hey, Rusty, I just wanted to say that I appreciate your take on things, and the background. I don't think there's a thing wrong with people who care about their country, support people, realize when things are not what they expected, and admit it. I admire it, actually, very few like what you explained.
I spend a lot of time in here arguing against those that hate what Obama's doing, and are patently right wing. I voted for him, because he represented something unique and more of my ideals than McCain, or someone more conservative than he was. I would have been ok with McCain, for the record, but terrified of who our vice-president would have been - TRULY terrified.
I agree with a lot of your takes. Obama has gone to the wall with things he believes in, and thinks can get done in the first two years of his mandate. Things will calm down quickly after this first year, and reps and senators will be coming up for a vote. I continue to be impressed with his demeanor, and his work ethic. I think he brings promise and class to the office, and I'm proud when he is on the international scene, representing the country, because he does a great job at that. He still motivates many people that were before unmotivatable, and that's important.
Again, for the record, I supported (and still would) Hillary Clinton. I think we would be experiencing a lot of positive change without all the extra concern, if she was President. Just wanted to chime in on your manifesto there. I appreciate it, and think it was well said. You are obviously more balanced than many here.
Hillary would at least be patriotic unlike the dumbass ruining our country from the inside right now, for the record I voted for McLame, here is to hoping the asshole gets beat in the next election in Arizona
