A stock broker just advised me to invest in the following stocks; aria and bpax (both symbols)

Looking for advice on this move.

I'm also hearing that the Brazilian Market might be a decent international area to invest.

Thoughts?

Jvenz do not follow these stocks, actually currently do not have any drug stocks, and invest very little in this sector.

they have no earnings or dividends, so you have to decide on wether it is worth the investment based on the pipeline (of drugs/products). both seem to be on a good run especially aria, so maybe they are momentum plays.

just like to add that have a stop, if the stock does work out you do not have to be in a rush to take profits but never hurts to take some off of the table. good luck.

Brazil is an emerging markets, that has a strong resource base, oils, metals....so if the over all world wide economy recovers (even 1-3%, Brazil should do fine and outperform) resources will do well.

if there is a recession would avoid most resource stcoks, and emerging markets, ie. have been increasing my exposure to resource stocks in general.

since I live in Canada will invest in cdn. companies, for resource exposure.

thanks

If wanting to learn--you find no better teacher than Seilkirk.
I been following him for over a decade. Best I've seen--and I've seen many :toast:

My advice would be-
-open account with online discount broker-Ameritrade-Etrade or any you feel comfortable with.

--then pay yourself 1st-
-find amount your comfortable with and put it in your account (tax deffered preferrably-Ira SEP etc) relgiously. Having monthly auto deduct out of bank will keep you from fudging.

--as far as which stocks to buy--would not be in big hurry--would go back over threads (archives) here-especially kirks--and get some ideas.

Your age would certainly be relevent to how much risk you would want to take.

Remember 1st rule of investing--don't lose money. Be leary advice on get rich quick stocks and advice from those than gain from said advice.

Good luck--and you have made the most important step already--wanting to behin plan
