totally forgot about this until checking my acct yesterday. i'm holding a nc state title ticket $20 at 500-1. obviously things broke perfectly for wolfpack, curious what you guys would do? would love to lock in some profit, but if i start hedging now and they continue to roll on i will be unable to hedge if they face UK/Duke because they will be such big underdogs.

thoughts?

Yea. You can't hedge now. U cannot really hedge until they reach the final game. Fairly simple.

Why not? You can hedge now and take a profit if they lose. Just bet the other side knowing that you will be doubling up with some heavy chalk along the way. Can be done. Not simple

Nice spot to be in! :0074. I'm a pretty conservative gambler, so I would have some coin riding on the Louisville ml. I would hate to come this far and get nothing. If NC st. gets to elite 8, I would reevaluate again.

Actually it is not too early to start a hedge with that ticket in your hand..You need to start to look at the options that can come forward. You will obviously be betting the money line....so you need to start small and take a piece of your possible outcome paycheck and play it against yourself and hope you lose the bet. If greed does not become a factor and you start small enough to maintain the series of plays you will need to make, it becomes quite a chess match. lose enough to get a nice paycheck, or get paid on the way out the door.
Hope it works out well for you

2 wins into a 6 win proposition and he's "come to far" to get nothing?

it's 20 freaking bucks. let it ride and if they happen to win 2 more games then figure out any possible options.

sounds like the biggest mush i know who wants to in-game hedge every football bet (10-20-30 dollars) he makes after the first score by his team......i always ask him, why even bet in the first place?

Yes. He put $ on a 500-1 shot, and they're now down to 50-1. I think that's quite a ways:shrug:

Irrelevant.....still needs 4 wins to cash ticket and multiple wins to even consider hedging.

If one wanted to hedge after 2 wins (or a third of the way thru the bet) one should have taken the original 20 and bet them ml every game letting it ride every timee....then one could walk away anytime up money and probably get similar or better odds than the original 500-1 (oor whatever)

So a 100 to win 67.50 minus the ncst future at 20....so 47.50?

awesome!

Why be a dick. He wants to grab some profit. May not be much to you but to some it is.
He ask for hedging help not a bankroll critique.

It's not a profit or a hedge....it's basically just a ml bet on Louisville at -210.
