Guess I am in the minority & also agree with Toronto..................I just don't find any of this tale even remotely funny or amusing

FDC, thank you for your story. i cried as it was so funny. the irony of this situation is what makes it funny - not the death of the animal. even my wife laughed at this story and she loves our dogs way more than i do. she also agreed that you should say nothing. it is not your place.

ps. if you told you would risk losing a drinking buddy. :scared

As all of you can readily tell this happened some time ago.............and I must say I have had time to reflect on my actions that morning and the days, weeks, and years to follow. The wife is not the issue, but the animal itself..............Yet I digress..............its a cat for chrissakes and it did nothing to better society nor did it make for a nice coat..............what it provided was a hysterically funny story that still makes me giggle as I write this. I love all my animals I even loved Blackie the wolfhound that got bit by a raccoon and became rabid.................I cried like a baby when I put him down........right up until the fifth round out of the .22 only made the foaming bastard mad and I had to hit him with a shovel..........................god I loved that dog................................................Cheers, FDC
