Does any books offer bets on the heisman right now, if so, what are the odds looking like for Troy Smith?

John Daivd Booty is 2-1 at betjamaica

I think I should jump on that his stock will be rising

Booty would have been the only player to beat Smith for Heisman. Obviously he isn't a contender now but the opportunity for him to win it was there. If he had big games (stats) against Oregon, CAL, ND and UCLA that would put him right there with Smith for Heisman. Smith should easily win it now. Deservedly so!

snoozer,

i took troy for my biggest bet of year 3 weeks ago +195, the next week i added more at +110, last week he was -150 to -300 at others ... some books during midweek he devalued 100% overnight ...

the only person who could beat him is brady quinn, who i do fear ... hes 3/1 and had a much better day than troy today ... im guessing he will drop to 2/1, maybe even lower

my concept is that oh st has pansy sched. to finish year until hosting mich who is +7 right now, if OH st wins that game I dont see anyway that Troy doesnt get Trophy ... if bruins woulda beaten ND i think it would be over too ... but alas they folded like napkin ... if quinn has some big games and beats USC and oh st loses to Mich i would prob give nod to Quinn--thats obviously not an impossible scenario

hope any of that helps

I can't see anyone beating Troy Smith if they go unbeaten. However, if Michigan beats Ohio St. and ND beats USC with Quinn having a huge game anything is possible.

It's definitely Smith's to lose...

Carson Palmer won Heisman with his big performance against ND. I guess Quinn can do the same against USC. USC plays everything underneath so it will be easy for Quinn to rack up stats.

Little different circumstances, dont you think?

Carson needed that performance because of the alleged West Coast bias...Everyone knows Troy Smith.

I don't understand your post.

What if Booty completed the 2pt conversion and USC won in OT. Booty would have the opportunity to close out season in style (just like Carson) and he def. could steal it from Smith.

Its all about how you finish to win heisman. Carson Palmer and Bush last year. Right now, nobody is in contention with Smith except for "maybe" Quinn. Quinn has chance to steal it from Smith.

As much as I am NOT a Texas fan, or anything close to it......why is Colt McCoy not getting any love for consideration?? He's got the numbers, and while I cant see him getting it over Troy, especially for the head to head factor.....but if the Buckeyes fall, he should get a trip to NY at least
