The Latest Projection - Heisman Day!
As of 2:18 p.m. (pacific time) on December 13, 2003, 175 actual Heisman ballots have been publicly declared and uncovered by HeismanProjection.com. We'll continue updating this site until about an hour before the presentation tonight, so be sure to reload to get the latest numbers.
Of the 922 Heisman voters, we expect about 784 to vote (85%). Our count is now 22.3% of that total electorate. Our confidence in these numbers (particularly the top three) is high. Last year, we had 127 votes - and nailed it.
Right now, it's Jason White (35%) narrowly leading Larry Fitzgerald (32%), with Eli Manning (14%) solidly in third. In fourth place, Chris Perry (7%) is solidly ahead of fifth place Philip Rivers (3.4%). While Matt Leinart (2.4%), Darren Sproles (2.3%) and Mike Williams (2.3%) are all roughly in sixth place, the numbers aren't big enough to be statistically valid.
