obviously gonna be a great game. toledo rolling right now, bowling green dominating at home this year (like usual) and the best rivalry in the mac.

my guesstimate:
bowling green should open as a 5.5 or 6 point favorite.

I was thinking just that...5.5 6.

But I honestly think Toledo wins this game AT BG. Few reason...

1. BG's best defensive player - Mitch Hewitt is out for the season, they cant stop the run in the first place...now they'll have a hard time stopping anything.

2. Experience. Again, you cant recruit it..you can only gain it.

3. My main reason why. THE TIME CHANGE. They had this game slated for Friday night on ESPN - everybody was gonna come. Everybody made plans for the game, calling off work, coming home from break ...... but all that is lost. They move this game to Saturday at Noon. Nobody is gonna be there. They`ll be lucky to get 17K. Majority will be Toledo fans. No students will be there becuase its Univerisity rule that all students living in the Dorms must go home during break. BG fans from around Ohio wont come because of the messed up plans. THEY WILL HAVE ZERO SUPPORT!!! BG is gonna lose this game - due to its STUPIDITY and the cock sucking they give to ESPN. Game shouldnt even be on TV

very ironic that you mentioned the scheduling of this game. youre right, very strange move on bg's part. i was thinking the exact same thing. that does take away some of the home field edge.

that being said, think its asking a lot for the rockets to win here.

whens the last time the road team has won (or hell, even COVERED in this series)? this rivalry has been very home-dominated.

cant fault you for grabbing the points (if thats what you plan on doing). a moneyline win might be asking for a lot (not because toledo isnt capable. we both know they are -- but bg obviously nails at home) even under blackney and sparse crowds, bgsu has been solid at home.

needless to say, im sure we'll both be breaking this game down and trading info with the rest of the guys in the coming days.

i like bowling green as well. but i dont fault hellah for grabbing toledo. there are certainly notable pro-toledo angles to this one.
a lot of this high profile mac dogs aint covering in the big games. this series is about as home dominated as youll find, even though the schools are 20 minutes apart. ill let the line move for a day or so before i decide how im gonna play it.
