When I try to go to the site I use for baseball boxscores...

hosted.stats.com

This site comes up...

startribune.com/sports

Some sports site in Minnesota

So frustrating, this just started happening.

This doesn't happen on my iphone, I can still get to the regular site no problem. So I guess it's only my computer that's affected? Any suggestions?

Try it in incognito mode if possible. If it works then you just need to clear cache and cookies.

My computer skills are limited; not for sure how to do that.

Are you using a MAC or PC?

What browser are you using?

My guess is you have a shitload of cache/cookies "all piled up" on your computer/laptop and that is why the site is being re-directed.

And for the record http://hosted.stats.com/ works fine for me.

Oh and if ya give a shit..........

Thanks Kick, I'll check those out and see if I can get anything done. I wonder why that specific site tho, that I'm getting re-directed to, I don't think that could be coincidence. Oh PC, microsoft (edge) I think :) shows how much I (don't) know.

I could help if you had a MAC, but sadly not with a PC.

JOSHNAUDI should be able to help you out.

Oh and I am guessing you are getting redirected because that site "sort of hacked" (calm down that sounds worse then it is) your PC cookies/cache and thus redirected you. Sometimes this happens when your cache/cookies is "overflowing with shit".

Of course it is possible none of this has anything to do with "cookies or cache" so what the fuck do I know?:142smilie

Crunch some other good free programs to clear all that crap are these. Just run basic and be sure to UNCHECK any spam additions they try to bundle during install then you can just run program to clean all that stuff. Like I mentioned these programs are fine just pay attn during d/l process of any bundled crap they try to sneak in and uncheck. All u want is the free version. Once D/L is complete run it weekly. I run mine daily.
The least I can do for all the awesome work you give us.
Hope it helps
https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download Pretty simple

THis one is a bit more involved but when open, scan system once and scan usage tracks once and then hit fix selected when done that's it!
https://www.safer-networking.org/pro...-free-edition/

scroll to bottom to find your operating system then run install:0074

Sorry for links but I have used these programs for 20 yrs never an issue other than the bundled crap during install but you can de-select it all so no problems:0008
