Coach Pat Riley announced that Mike James will start at point guard tonight with Travis Best out with a sprained ankle.
Riley is a big supporter of Anthony Carter, but Carter is inferior in shooting percentage and assist-to-turnover ratio to both Best and James. James averages 8.7 points and 2.8 assists per game as a reserve, and should improve slightly on those numbers as a starter.
