DENVER (Ticker) -- The Montreal Expos try to remain undefeated on their seven-game road trip when they begin a four-game series against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
The Expos began their trip with a three-game sweep of National League West-leading San Francisco.
On Wednesday, Montreal posted a 6-3 triumph as Ron Calloway and Jeff Liefer homered, Vladimir Guerrero drove in two runs and Claudio Vargas recorded his first major league win.
Javier Vazquez (3-2, 3.63 ERA) did not factor in the Expos 6-5 win over Los Angeles on Saturday after allowing five runs and 11 hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Ther righthander, who leads the major leagues with 69 strikeouts, is 1-2 with a 5.82 ERA in four games against the Rockies.
Colorado won the rubber game of its midweek series with the New York Mets with a 6-5 triumph on Wednesday. Chris Stynes snapped a 5-5 tie with a single in the bottom of the eighth against Mike Stanton.
Jason Jennings (3-3, 5.86) will make his ninth start of the year, but just his third at home for Colorado. He is 2-0 at Coors Field this season and is 11-5 in 21 career games here.
Jennings, who did not receive decision in his only prior start against Montreal, is 5-0 with a 4.86 ERA in eight career starts in May. On Saturday, he was the winner in a 5-4 triumph at Florida, allowing two runs and nine hits in seven innings
