In the shadows
I am totally stunned, amazed, terrified..
by these storms that are tearing the shit
out of the South and Mid-West.

Unreal.

Thanks for the positive vibes....

Was on the phone with my insurance agent..

FEMA deemed my subdivision as a zone X property, a no flood zone, <1% of flooding....

SOOOO, if I flood, fed gov would compensate   :0003

I printed out my property on FEMA website to b safe

You can go to FEMA.gov and click on flood maps... Type in ur address and look up ur property

Zone A and E are flood zones

Zones C, X are minImal areas

I just witnessed the most rain in the shortest amount of time I have ever seen...

It rained, I chit you not, at least 1.5 to 2 inches in 30 minutes...

fuking rain blowing sideways, and I couldn't even open the door against the wind...

hail falling and backyard was under water in 30 minutes...

LOOSAHATCHIE flooding 'imminenet' release by NWS....

neighbors starting to move their chit up to attic...

more rain projected thru Tuesday...

I lived on a trout stream in Maryland and had to get flood insurance from FEMA.

Our property flooded badly during a series of bad storms but no water came into the house. We had substancial erosion, lost a bridge and out buildings. FEMA sent someone out to estimate the damages and they were in the neighborhood of $20K.

All FEMA offered was $2500 and a low interest loan. WTF?

Well, the state of Maryland came in and dredged the stream and put our land back and me and some friends rebuilt the bridge. Fuck FEMA!

I hope everything turns out okay for you, Lawrence.
