Normally, I put these in when the roosters get up, like right now, but I'm not putting anything in this morning. Let's just say I'm on hoss SEMI-vacation. IF I do get to my trusty DESKTOP :)s2:) in time to play any of these I may get some very small tickets today. The 8th race would be an exception to that. Ah... I think I already got the message across that I don't carry the Internet or anything related to it around with me when I'm out or under my pillow when I'm sleeping. :)

Getting more than my share of "hits", visitor types though... so here's some stuff for them today.

3rd race: Race looks like it belongs to either no. 1 or 4, BOTH are favorites and I HATE THAT. I've been noting after going through my records from the beginning of this yr. that the picks have produced a LOT of trifectas. But, wheeling and dealing with tries instead of zactas would have really costed much more to RISK. Didn't keep exact figures, but it does look like there were enough BIG UNS, and not one gigantic one and that's a good sign; and if I woulda gone for the gusto (tries) in all my PLAYABLE races - taking that risk woulda paid off though. Whatever the case, I got 1 and 4 on top of plenty of tricecta tickets in this race AND backed it up with 2,3, 7 OVER 1,4 in zacks. AGAIN, I prob won't really play this race even though I went over this race pretty thoroughly, just like I did with the other two race below.

7th race: Well, neither of the plicks are favored, but both are 2nd and 3rd choice, dangit. The two plicks are 5 and 6 and I also got them to finish 2nd in zactas. No tries for this race.

8th race: I think no. 7 (5/1) is the best bet today. Usually, that means NOT taking a chance with exotics and possibly missing out on this one. W/Pl/Show with the SHOW being for @2 or 3x the amount on the win or place bet. Betting with $5's and $10s and surely a $20 has to get thrown in would be the way to go. IF I make it to the puter.. . .. I'll be on this play.

G.L.

Thank you, DT and same for you. Would appreciate you finding us a nice, big lunker in the Belmont. You can do it.

Wow, this place AND PHILLY is starting to look like the old days... 20/1 hits the zackta with one of my plicks and now I got a couple of steak dinners and even a couple of dwinks to go with the peanuts for desert. YUM, YUM. Now, for the 8th.

That is exactly what i'm talking about

That is exactly what i'm talking about

If I went HOG WILD (oops, sorry HogMan) on any horse I REALLY liked... I'd be in the Po House. That used to work for me in N.Y. but these days - relying on the regular picks is the way for me to go. No. 7 got out LAST and I'm sure he didn't have enough to make it happen even if he didn't. Not saying that I didn't hit a few at Philly going overboard on all the LUVED ones, but not enough times to cover if I bet every one of them. Didn't do it for this last race cause being the best bet ON A CARD LIKE TODAY"S doesn't warrant a "HOG wild" bet but I did put down about double (Only play was no. 7 across the board) on this race than either of the other 2 playable for today.

Looks like ONE steak dinner and a half bag of peanuts for today. Change the order from a sirloin to a chuck steak. You know, the kind ya gotta put in a blender to be able to swallow the dang thang.

We gotta beat that there California hoss in the Belmont, that's all. AND, it won't be easy .

EDITED: JUST noticed sumthin... that exacta I caught today was the biggest exacta of the day .
Score a pt. for finding PLAYABLE WACES and score one for LUCK cause it took more LUCK than anyting else to hit it. :(
Sometimes figuring out HOW to play a race is the most important thing.
