I'm not much of a prop bettor, but this caught my eye as I was looking through stats for tonight's card:
Pirates/Cards YES to score in the first inning -120
I'm relying on the Pirates to cover this based on the BvP matchup alone. Gant has pitched well recently which is a concern, but his last time out against the Pirates he gave up 8 hits and 6 runs in four innings pitched. The BvP for the Pirates first five hitters against Gant is 9 hits for 20 AB's.
We should see some base runners and a good chance to plate at least one run in the first inning.
