Here's the hit the broke the kicker's jaw

I have no problem with hitting the kicker as he was involved in the play and trying to make the tackle. I do have an issue with him using his helmet and launching. That would have been a personal foul against a "helpless" receives, so why is it legal there?

Launching ??? Watch it again. His feet barely come off the ground. The kicker (as everyone else) is responsible for protecting themselves. I'm tired of this game being turned in to a game of pussies........penalty my ass. That kicker got his clock cleaned.....just like he should have. If he plays again I bet he has his head on a swivel from now on.

No fucking way. That was unnecessary roughness and without a doubt deserves a suspension.
All he had to do is basically stand there and that kicked is knocked the fuck out.

I just watched it again.....and still see nothing wrong with the hit. Yes....a game of pussies. The broken jaw was an unintentional result of an intentional hard hit.....that would not have happened if the kicker was paying proper attention. Football is a violent game. Period......if you don't like then take up golf.
agree that the game has been terribly compromised by all the defensive interference and penalties, but this was an illegal hit. Fine yes, but suspension no.

Thank god, he does not use his head to kick. Not a career ending play.............Taking a cheap shot at a kicker has been in the game as long at it has been played. BTW, that was a fucking cheap shot! Nothing new... at least the coach did not throw his clip board at him or accidentally trip him.

This kicker is in the middle of the field and should have had his head on a swivel-but he didnt and sometimes players don't....and they ge hit and hit hard!! By no means did this guy mean to break a jaw etc but put a good solid lick on him- which obviously he did.
I played football and there are tons of hits in this game made by freak athletes that weigh 260-350 pounds, all muscle and run like gazelles. A kicker is like us in the sense they can kick the ball but not crazy good athletes.
He got CRUNCHED on the play- but it is football and IMO there is nothing illegal with it that should cause a suspension. It is football.....and IMO if it was a LB- it wouldn't be as big of a deal but it was a kicker! With LB's- they get cracked on special teams play all the time and there isnt this uproar...it is because it was a kicker. Yah it sucks what happened to him obviously...but it is football...and it is a violent game!

I thought he tried to hit him square in the shoulder pads.....but if I saw it wrong I saw it wrong.....I dont think he went for the neck...but I am not him. So FYI...if he dd...he should get suspended if he meant to hit him illegally obviously----- but I think all of this crap is because it is a kicker that got hurt and not necessarily the hit...that hit happens every week in football
