Here's to a new season of tailing Willie

Gonna try something new this year.....I still love playing my ML parlays but I'm only going to post on days when Willie does.....and what I will do is parlay Willie's favorites with a ML basketball play to get rid of the juice, or on nights like tonight when Willie is on a dog, I will parlay my ML play with Willie's dog on the puck line......if there are no ML plays that I like then I will say so and not force a parlay, but last season I hit right around 80% on the ML plays so hopefully I can keep it up this year.

Since tonight kicks off the NBA season, tonight also kicks off my parlays.

Oilers (+1.5) + Lakers ML (+116)
$300 to win $348

Avalanche (+1.5) + Lakers ML (+100)
$200 to win $200

I will keep track of how I do vs Willie, for comparison's sake, because this is unproven and I want to see if this works or if just playing them straight the way Willie does is better.

Wow 2 awesome comebacks to send boths games to overtime and then 2 losses.....but both pucks lines won.....and though the Lakers made me sweat it out right down to the final shot, in the end they pulled it out :toast:

I think what I will do in terms of record keeping is keep a YTD total and also a +/- to Willie. The whole point of this exercise is to see if there is a better way to maximize return off of Willie's expertise. I have no doubt that both ways will net a positive return, but the really interesting thing is how they do relative to each other. I will follow all of Willie's plays this year and match his unit allocation so a direct comparison should be easy.

Also, please understand that this is in no way meant to be a "competition" with Willie. I have a huge man crush on the dude for continuing to post on here year after year, and every penny I make in hockey betting is thanks to him. It is just in my nature to tinker, and I am constantly looking for an edge on the house. Last year I only played Willie's goldens and it paid off, and I continue to play them straight as well. But I do believe in the value of 2-game ML parlays and that is why I decided to try these this year. Like I said, I have zero doubt that if you follow Willie exactly you will finish the season with more money then you have today. But I am trying to see if I can squeeze out just a little bit more profit out of his hockey genius

Maybe I can and maybe I can't. That's what we're here to find out.
