OMFG!

OMFG!

i had the over 23.5 for a nice play
and i was so happy to go to ot and win it
what a stupid decision, very demoralizing
at least give your boys a shot to win it instead of some 50/50 junk play

I highly doubt they would have won in OT. I like the call. If you can pick up 2 yards, you win the game. I like those odds more than having to win on the road in OT against a better team (not saying SD is good, they're actually very bad, but they're better than KC).

Is going to OT playing to lose? Not really, Id rather have 15 mins to decide the game then 1 play....especially when I have been pretty much doing what I want or atleast controlling tempo.....HERM EDWARDS IS AN ASSHOLE OF A COACH...and theres plenty more like him.

If he had one left, timeout should have been called to discuss the play. Other than that, not too bad of a call on the road imo.

BTW, I used SD this week in my survivor pool which started in week 6. Thanks, Herm:toast:

How can that be said Glenn, KC dominated the first half and made a impressive drive to uhhhhhh tie the game until assfart had to think about what to do, if KC gets the ball in OT 1st very likely they could have won that game, playing 50/50 football isnt a great idea IMO. Now you go from having a team boost to get thru the 2nd half of the season to being demoralized....Herm should be axed and KC may be lucky if they win another game, talk about killling a good vibe, from controlling the game to fucking blowing it...that will help team moral

I'm thinking a lot of people are just pissed because that decision lost their bets for them? I don't know, KC had nothing to lose and if they could have picked up a mere 2 yards, they pretty much had a guaranteed win. I thought the playcall itself sucked, but I like the aggressiveness of going for it.

To anyone who lost a bet because of that, I feel for ya. I can understand expecting them to kick the extra point after the TD. I don't think it was a bad call to go for it though.

I hear what you're saying. KC played well today. However, I think SD outplayed them in the 2h and the odds of KC winning that game in OT, on the road, are less than 50% IMO. SD is a poor team, but I think they would have found a way to win that game in OT. I still think the odds of running one play to get 2 yards are better than going into another period and hoping that you score first, especially when you're the weaker team and you're on the road.

I agree with this. I would have liked the chance to get more fantasy points from Bowe and Gonzalez, but can't fault the call at all.

take wagering out of the picture and I actually think it was a decent call.

They hadn't done anything since early in the game. They drove down against a prevent defense. The got lucky with a phantom PI call to get them down to the 2

Look at their drive chart in the seconds half before SD went into prevent. Their best chance to win the game was to have it come down to 1 play

15:00 2:47 KC 25 5 13 Punt
08:51 0:54 KC 15 3 3 Punt
03:43 1:01 KC 25 3 3 Punt
02:00 1:37 KC 38 3 8 Punt
06:55 2:24 KC 20 4 36 Punt

Agree, I like the agressiveness. Make it and you win. Too many coaches take the safe road.

Personally would have kicked the extra point. Was watching the game and half the people thought it was the right call and half thought the wrong call.

If they make the 2 point conversion and win the game, everyone likes the call.

it was the right call. It's a known fact that the Chargers Defense is very week up the middle especially covering Tight Ends which is were KC was trying to go there.

How soon we forget... Denver did the same thing against the Chargers 2nd week of the season and everybody was praising Shannahan for doing it. If the play works it's a great call if it doesn't you always blame the coach but given that KC had nothing to lose for the season it was a good call.
