Thats a pretty ignorant statement...

Really? Can you imagine the dyspepsia among this crowd if both Pres candidates were Negroes?

These two time Bush voters who are responsible for us getting into these god awful wars because they voted for Bush, sure do have thin skin lately.

Wayne, I didn't say the current system was unfair. You did, and always have. Please re-read this, so you understand. Then proceed.

My question STILL is, do you think the solution that YOU and YOUR constituency suggests about going after the 12.5% of income in the country (the bottom 50%) will solve our problems? How much do you want them to pay? Take that number into the 12.5% of income made by this group, and tell me what you come up with. And you think this will solve or even begin to help our current situation - all things considered? How much of this income that you and your party want to go after seems realistic to take from these people that in most cases cannot survive as it is? Your solution is to take this money from these people, and what then? Build more prisons? Hire more government workers (police, guards, security, etc.)? I thought you were against expanding government? Disband the education system we have now and let those people fend for themselves, further continuing the discrepancy in educational opportunity in this country? That's progress and fairness in a progressive society to you?

Do you honestly think this is the best way to go about things, really? On top of that, you want to essentially eliminate or at least reduce the money going TO a large part OF this group, in addition to taking more money away from them? All the while, not asking anything of those who are continuing to profit in increasing amounts by the system that they exist in now? These same folks who have had all this increasing money for the past few years and are not spending it or "putting people to work?" These are the people we need to help MORE?
You're wasting your time, Chad. He's incapable of understanding it. Look at his reply. He thinks the answer to our budget problems is a $100 tax on the bottom 50% of wage earners. Then he claims that represents 150 million wage earners, when there are only 170 million total wage earners in the country. And he thinks $15 billion in revenue will make a dent in a $3.7 trillion budget?

He's severely and hopelessly challenged by numbers... yet he sells insurance?

That is what I have really gotten a kick out of over the years. I learned pretty quick how the insurance business works. You don't need a degree in mathematics to fuck people out of their money like doggie.

You avoid the fact that 9-9-9 is not a plan, it's a slogan. There's no substance.
Exactly.

Why would ANYONE support Cain's 9-9-9 plan without first knowing how much revenue it would generate?

I realize a hard number is impossible but certainly the CBO has enough data to project an estimate.

150 million in the US pay no federal tax NOW.

Dogs says 150 million people paying as little as $100 each in federal tax would bring in $x dollars.

Those 150 million are the people paying nothing now.

The other 170 million wage earners are the ones already paying taxes now.

As for the 9-9-9 plan and it eventually becoming a Fair Tax - have you ever read anything on the Fair Tax?

That would be impossible --unless O drops out .Cain would be only negro candidate and possible 1st negro pres.

If you tell a lie long enough you actual believe it to be true--

--Would wager you believe it was the Dems that pushed civil rights for your family also--

however--

The House version of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supported by only 61 percent of that Chamber's Democrats versus 80 percent of the Republicans.

More importantly, it was Republicans that ended a Democrat filibuster preventing a vote on this bill in the Senate. 82 percent of Republicans voted for cloture versus 66 percent of Democrats.

In the final Senate vote on the Act, 82 percent of Republicans voted "Aye" versus 69 percent of Democrats.

The same is true for the Voting Rights Act of 1965 when 94 percent of Senate Republicans voted in favor of the bill versus 73 percent of Democrats. The final vote on the House's version was even more stark as only one Senate Republican voted against it compared to seventeen Democrats.

In the House, 82 percent of Republicans supported the bill versus 78 percent of Democrats.

--but if you tell a lie long enough and media supports it--you somehow believe it's true.
You might want to rethink ole whitety and rebs being responsible for your failures.

Cain tells you no excuses/your responsible for your plight
--Gumby/Dems tells you why you failed--its the system--They need to keep you reliant on that tit--

SSD... that makes no sense. That would mean there are 320 million wage earners in the U.S.

First, there are only 312 million people in the U.S. Second, only 170 million Americans are wage earners. Children are not wage earners. Retired people are not wage earners. The unemployed (24 million) are not wage earners. Most disabled people are not wage earners.

Are you guys seriously this challenged by simple math?

u asked how he got his #'s.

That is how I figured he got them.

I am not saying I agree with his equations.

But, when I read his post, that is what I thought he was saying.

I'd like to see Cain get the Republican nomination. watching the teabaggers shit themselves because they'll have to vote for a black man would be a hoot.

No one gives a shit Duff as long as the idiot in the White house is gone. A true conservative is the name of the game not skin color.

Hey lowell, nice to see you again. This might not be the right place to ask you, but how is the negro hunting going in North Carolina?

Was this supposed to be a funny retort to some rhetorical questions?

I find your shtick to be tiresome and boring. You lower the IQ of every thread you reply to. All you ever do is use ad hominem attacks. It?s an obvious intellectual breakdown on your part, and one of the surest indicators that you?ve lost the debate. If you could stick to the issues it would give this forum a more pleasant atmosphere.

Since lowell is off on a hunting trip, maybe you could answer the question for him?

Are u aware these so called true conservatives u voted for have caused a majority of our debt? Reagan spent us into terrible debt and Bush Jr ran it out of control. Are u also aware that Obama has put this war tab on the bill instead of hiding it like Bush did? Does Florida have news stations like the BBC where u can get pretty straight forward news and not gullible garbage from Right wing radio or the likes of Fox New?. Democrats are also spenders but to sit and hear a bunch of u assholes call yourselves true conservatives but not aware of anything these so called "true conservatives" have done is truly mind boggling. Are u aware that Obama and the first stimulus had a lot of stuff the so called "true conservatives" wanted? They call it a failure but got everything they wanted. When guys like u can finally think for yourself we as a nation will finally get out of this mess. Unfortunately there are sharks out there that know this country is littered with nitwits like yourself, which make the sharks laugh all the way to the bank, while u are helping them load up their duffel bags.
