She looks a lot like McSame's third wife to me.

For the life of me, I cannot understand this pick, if it is the pick. That would be a pick of total desperation, IMO. I was pretty sure he could not stomach slapping backs and hugging Mitt, though, he despises that guy. And Pawlenty just would not give him enough juice. Could not see any of the possibles that would really give him the pizzazz Joe Biden provided, but I've been wrong before. This gal looks like she could be motivating, in some ways, but can't see that there's time to introduce a country to a one term female governor from Alaska. McSame must think he really needs those three electoral votes.

She looks good after 5 kids.

Sarah's choice

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) and her husband Todd are the proud parents of their fifth child, Trig, born April 18, 2008, one month before his due date. At birth he weighed six pounds, two ounces.

Although they discovered through prenatal testing that Trig has Down Syndrome, the Palins decided not to abort the pregnancy (80% of such pregnancies are aborted in the United States). The governor's official statement is a remarkable testimony of faith and courage:

Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.

Geez weasel must love this woman she looks just like him....

Not sure why all the hate. I don't know much about her, so it "might" be warranted.

There's really no questioning, though, that she looks great for her age.

It has to be a reaching pick. She was only a mayor for 3 years town size 8000 & Gov last two years. 44 years old. I cant believe they would hand the dem's a election win this esay.

Go ahead McCain. She is a horrible environmentalist for starters - she allows airborne killing of wolves and bears in Alaska and wants polar bears to remain huntable for trophies, even though they are on the verge of extinction. And she wants to drill in ANWR. Let's just keep tapping the earth and until we have no oil left.

If McCain thinks he is going to get woman voters by choosing her, think again. And the Republicans are complaining about inexperience...

She is a ho.

u are so misinformed on hunting/environment. To be as smart as you are overall, that's pretty sad.

You're also wrong about women voters. Maybe not you and others on the left and hard line pro-abortion voters, but she will boost the vote among women where Obama is weaker than he should be.

To call her a ho is pathetic as well for someone of your acumen.

I still really think the veep is almost a non-issue. I can't see her hurting McCain at all as far behind as he is. She will do nothing but help him. Wait until you hear her speak. Looks great, sounds great, etc.

Agree.

I personally think this "news" is only serving as a distraction. Maybe throwing it out there to see what the knee-jerk (or any other jerk) reaction is. But my complete guess is that she will not be the VP selection.

She has been confirmed as the VP choice by NBC News.

I think this is very desperate.

Desperate maybe, but I'll take a strong conservative woman any day over somebody like Romney or Lieberman. I think those would have been pathetic choices.
