Redneck, first of all, I bought the majority of my shares in the$.20-.30 range when I first recommened this stock however many years ago that was, so your theory that I made a bad buy holds no water. I could cash out now if I wanted and still be in the black, barely, but I'm not. If you think I am enjoying the fact the stock has gone from the $1.50's to this level, you are wrong. Not only do I feel bad for the people on this board, none of which I personally know, but also the friends who I told about this stock. Unlike some people around here, I have a conscious, and not only am I pissed at the PPS, I'm pissed that some people are probablly losing some money as a result of a recommendation I posted on this forum. That being said, I still believe this company and its technology holds some promise and these PPS levels are a temporary bump in the road and brighter days are ahead.

On a final note, I think it says a lot about your character starting a new thread and calling me out to throw dirt in my face when times are bad. I know you tried to make it sound like you a trying to help an ole buddy out, but I'm betting you were laughing the whole time it took you to type out that post and were thinking what a stupid fvck I am. Fair enough, as I have formed a few opinions about you.

Good Luck with your investments and congratulations on your early retirement.

just trying to pass on a good thing

Thats also what I am trying to do. I don't know that I am in love with this stock, I just think their emerging technology holds a lot of promise, not only for the medical field, but investors too. I probably over reacted in my post, but I am more than a little frustrated with the PPS of CYGX right now. Cytogenix isn't taking a dirt nap yet, so until it is, I will continue to :mj09:

Good Luck

cap, one thing we both know is that investing in biotech is risky !greatest quote i ever heard was " mice ain,t people" in this case monkeys...when i finally had enough of the frigid northeast and moved to s.c. i moved all my accounts to a financial advisor [ asset allocation] i now have a godzillion mutual funds, and sleep well at night. however i told him do not touch the trinity, geron, idbe, and pars...as u know i believe geron is the next microsoft, idbe was bought by glaxo, a 10 bagger, should have been much more.. pars had a great drug fori[ traumatic brain injury] went to bed one night, it was 4 bucks, woke up it was 40 cents !!!! drug failed in phase 3 ...they just did it again last week !!!what i learned was that in bio, you don,t put all your eggs..... hope your cygx rewards you greatly. anyway, since we are now cyberspace friends, would you do me a favour ? go to investors villiage, read about mogif.pk, and let me know what you think ? thanks, doc

New Redneck, I did as you requested and went to IV and read some of the posts on MOGIF. First let me state that I in no way consider myself to be any kind of expert in the area of trading and investing. Sellkirk has probably forgot twenty times more than I will ever know about the markets. The stocks I profile here are ones that other people have told me about or I have read about at various places and I am just passing on oppurtunities I think offer the possibility of some nice financial gains. That being said, here are my thoughts on MOGIF.

-I'm not a fan of Pink Sheet stocks (even though SLUP is) One thing I like to look at is the # of outstanding shares a company has and its rate of dilution and that can't be done if a company is on the pink sheets. To many unkowns.

-There was talk on IV about a reverse split. I have never been a fan of these as it seems 98% of the time the stock price declines soon after this happens. The way these people were talking, the only reason was to get to a bigger exchange. How about generating some revenue to get the stock price up.

-From what could be gathered from IV, these machines are supposed to be far superior to the competition, but one poster mentioned that they (the competitior) were supposedly coming out with something better than the product they have now. If they have the market share now and they improve on their own product, are the customers going to take a shot with someone new, or stick with a company they have done biz with before. Who knows.

-I am basing all of this on info derived from a message board, so to say any of this is the abosolute truth, don't know. It sounds like there is definety some potential with this company if everything goes their way, but that is where the gamble comes in. How big a gamble is it??????

I didn't do a ton of DD here and I'm sure there are many other issues going on with this company that I don't know about, but these are my thoughts for now.

Good Luck

cap, thank you for taking the time to look at monogen.i appreciate your opinions.. as to the questions you asked, 1. i am not a fan of pinks either, but mog was a result of a merger with another co, probably the easiest way tobe listed...2. the reverse split is planned later this year to attract institutions, they cannot buya 1.60 stock. plus they know the benifits of listing on the nas...3. the new machine, 3000, the competition has coming, is still inferior to monogens, from what i read..... 4. know what you mean about mssg boards, but it is unusual to have a frequent poster who owns 9% of the co. ! most of his friends from the idbe days have many hundreds of thousands shares [ not me] anyway, i get frustrated at people with small minds, i.e. when someone tells you something looks good, look at it at for god,s sake... you did, and will make your decision based on your dd.. check back on that board once in a while, as it is the best mssg board i have ever seen.. bashers will come soon [maybe one already] ., but sometimes that is a good sign... thanks again, doc.... p.s. would like you to buy some geron...conventional wisdom is " anyone with a stock portflio should have 1000 share of geron".. after 5 years of following it, i agree... best to you, watching tiger on the back 9, hope he wins !!!!!
