San Antonio, Texas
I have a 2 team parlay
Dodgers +135
Rockies +105

in the 4th inning Dodgers lead Oakland 2-0
Rockies game begins at 6pm, (in 55 min)
i laid 150.00 to win 572.26. Obviously the La game will still be on when the Col game starts. Should I hedge...but if La is up 2-1 in game and they end up losing, i am an ass.
PS I played Colorado because Texas is 1-10 following games when they score 10 runs or more!!

Gravy,
If you wanted to hedge after winning the first game why didnt you just bet LA with no parlay. You just eat more juice by trying to hedge.

1 question, why did you bet, because you liked the play. It's simple to me, sit there and watch your games.Hedging is great if you are into 'grinding',can't do it myself.Spanky....

,

just caught this thread and thought i might reply. i get into this situation many times. i love playing the parlays.

in this situation, when the 2nd last game is not complete and a whack of dough is on the line is always a concern. it's money afterall, and that's what this game is about.

you didn't lay down your hard earned cash because you were in love with a team. you laid it down to win.

anyway, as much as i would like to go into long dissertation on the topic, i know what i do now in this situation everytime. i put more coin down on the last team and if there is a later game, i try to find an angle to re-parlay it with.

i liked it going in.
i should still like it.

i think fletcher is right when he says hedging a parlay in play will come back to bite you in the a$$. more often than not it is true. you threw good money away.

think about it.
if you are a reasonable capper (and i happen to think you are an exceptional one) you should perform somewhere north of 50%.

however, if you are in a situation where you have obviously won all of a parlay except one game, that is a different story. i always protect my winnings.
