I said it all along that somehow some amount of fans would turn to the usual routine of blaming the refs etc looking for a scapegoat & they are staying true to form. I got attacked for saying the truth about a good % of their fans. I didn't attack when one of my teams got eliminated in the first rd (Avs). I said how I felt about it (they got what they deserved for letting it slip away) & went on about my business.
Well done, kickserv. Looks like it will be the Devils and the Ducks for all the marbles.
In defense of HORNS, I thought you were rather harsh on the Sens. Their road to the Conf Final was a lot harder than NJ, IMHO, and Cechmanek made some unGodly saves in that series to keep Philly alive. He took offense to your comment because he loves his team, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm glad you didn't take exception to his response, also. Even the closest of families will have disagreements. Burns didn't outcoach Martin, the Sens players lost the series on the ice. Martin could make all the changes in the world and drill into their heads about not taking stupid penalties, but he has no control over what goes on in the heads of his players when they're out on the ice. I wanted to make a few more points, but not really in the mood after losing 10units on top of this heinous hangover. Anyways, great call, again, on the Devils and the series. Good luck the rest of the way

Guys, I'm not really surprised by the response of the fans, but this happens everywhere when your fav team loses in the playoffs. It happened when the Wings got swept, when the Avs lost, when the Stars lost,.....etc. Doesn't just happen in Ottawa. If NJ loses the Cup to Ana, I'm sure there will be plenty of idiotic Devils fans calling in blaming everyone but themselves for losing. JMHO.
My dad told me yesterday that after the Lakers lost to SA a couple of days ago, someone actually called in on a radio show blaming Jerry West for leaving the team to go to Memphis. Give me a break. Just shows you that there're crazy, idiotic fans everywhere.
