Best of wishes, Chadman. I'm glad to hear things are going fairly well!

I just had labrum surgery a few weeks ago myself. Admittedly, the recovery from labrum surgery is a walk in the park compared to what you've gone through.

Keep us posted on your progress. Even though I don't agree with all your posts in the political forum, I do respect, and enjoy reading, your opinion.

Chadman, if you don't mind me asking(many probably know and you've probably said before) but how old are you?

I'm turing 40 in April and I've never had my prostate checked. Actually I've only gone to the doctore once in 22 years and that was because I broke my foot in 5 places.(took me 4 days to go in) I don't worry about much in life but prostate cancer is a worry for some reason. I think it's because it's so easy to detect but I haven't even been willing to do that.

I am 50, will be 51 in January. I think I had prostate checks a couple times in the later 40s. My cancer was found last November, I had surgery in March. Unfortunately it took three different people to feel me up down there and confer that there was an issue, then they did the biopsies. I gotta say, the biopsy process was pretty much the worst thing other than the weeklong catheter/bag recovery process. But it's all necessary.

For those of you that don't know, if you have ANY history of cancer in the family, especially in the prostrate - GET CHECKED. You do run a greater risk, and in my case I had no issues or problems down there to signal anything. Routine checkup, thankfully my doctor was paying attention.
