They might show him the door, his and Johnny Damon's contract is up, but maybe they keep him because of his $$$$$$$ appeal in Japan.

He probably will take a paycut like Paul O'neill did but The Yankees hired Paul in their broadcast booth after his retirement.
It can still work out for Matsui. MLB and The Yankees must have made good money on Matsui merchandis.
