Simeon +3.5 vs Bishop Gorman: I like Simeon here as the small dog... Big problem is the frontline of Gorman... 6'10" Jeter and 7' Zimmerman... I think the guards of Simeon can wreak havoc and expect them to beat Gorman.

We have a freshman ex Gorman pt guard, Robotham here at Akron. I like him and think he'll be a really nice one in time. He's no superstar and it's evident at times as to why he slipped through the cracks to a MAC school. Still, a good catch for us and will be a 4 yr starter if health permits. Seems like a good kid so not too concerned with any off court issues, at least for now. Anymore, character seems to be just as, if not more important as talent when gauging the recruits.

The Truth

The Truth

FCP: These kids are so pampered that it is really hard to gauge their character, at times. I like to see kids who travel with the team and their parents/grandparents. Not the kids that travel with their entourage. It is one of the reasons I like these finishing schools- It gets the kids away from the potential negative influences in their life and puts them into "adult" situations. If you see a kid excel at Findlay, Gorman, Huntington etc then you will typically see a successful/good kid. A good example- Andrew Wiggins- He played at Huntington with Dominic Woodson. Andrew did well at Huntington did not get into trouble and had a great season. Dominic Woodson was suspended twice during his senior year at Huntington High for undisclosed reasons and he was ejected from a game as well.. Guess What? Dominic Woodson is now looking for his 4th college after leaving Baylor, Memphis (Who is asked to leave from MEMPHIS), and not Tennessee.

Recruit Character! It makes the team, University, and better.

FYI- Robotham is a good kid. He is a winner. I think he will be a stalwart for the future.

My Line...

My Line...

My line is up to 7.5. So, I have bet it again. I am fascinated by the line movement. Gorman is playing really good ball but I believe the Simeon guards can win this game.
