Last week left me with an empty feeling. With no Mr. Mel selection show, my anticipation has become almost unbearable.
Maybe he will be back again, maybe not. Who knows?
Well, in his absence, I put together a little tribute. It was all I could do to remember him by.
I know other contests must feel the same way I do, so I am sharing it with the group.
Please enjoy, and if you tear up a bit.. well that just means you're human.

I don't like these games, but I managed to find a guaranteed 3-0:
Houston +6' ....decent team, division game, should be close. Gimme the :mj23: .
Oaktown +10 ...just gotta take these points. Maybe SD turned the corner and will blow them out, but they are little bitches when things don't go perfectly. I like the Raiders to throw a couple monkeys in the wrench.:mj12:
Sea/NO Under 43 ...this matchup sounds a lot more exciting than it is.
Not greedy, no doubles. 3 points is enough for me this week.

First of all, that Mr. Mel tribute show was outstanding work, and human resources has voted that ImFeklhr should receive some sort of prize at the end of the contest for bringing true glory to the mutt.
Your math is horrible. I hate to be the one to point it out. I was doing some assessment of the order in which people made their picks today. Along the way I discovered at least one egregious error in your math skillz. This error, compounded with the errors that have already been pointed out, have led us to a difficult decision, but one that had to be made.
As head of human resources, it is my unfortunate job to let you know that you are relieved from your math duties. I will take over from this point out. It is easier for our department to get perfection straight out than to go back and audit you each time...plus the continual embarrassment for you would not be good for your self-esteem. I will still run the thread next week, but in the future I will post results at the end of each thread so you can just copy and paste into the next week.
Man, I hope your maps are better than your math skillz, or maybe that's why people always look so down-and-out and confused when wandering around Vegas!
Anyway, there is concrete evidence at this point in time that there is truly only one spot in the order of picking to post from, and I will be attempting to make my picks from that profitable spot. Until that time comes, pick on folks.

It was probably caused by bjfinste crying wolf and making me go back and fix numbers that were perfectly veracious.:dizzy:
That said, I like the idea of you working more. So please go right ahead with your cute little 'summary' idea. Anything to keep you from constantly staring at posters of Phillip Rivers and Carmelo Anthony is probably a good thing.

Smurphy, I appreciate your dedication and hard work, and by no means am I "Miss Perfect", but unfortunately I am a nerd for numbers and yes, a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to that.
Anyway...I don't think there is any need to dig up something so far from the past. Plus this guy is on a DOWNWARD spiral and his chances of winning this thing are about 1/10,000 so I wouldn't worry about it.
Now that you mention it, I could use a poster of Carmelo, since he is going to be the MVP this year. Maybe I can find a good spot soon in this contest for a friendly poster wager. He would look pretty good on my office wall :SIB

I will let the Upset Bird know that Thanksgiving is next month. This bird is not a turkey, they gobble-gobble...I heard an egret aawk today and an osprey screach....they are lining up for the Upset Bird position.
