Hey JT, I have a question.........If the refs call an unusual amount of fouls in the first half, does their tendencies change at halftime, or do the teams make serious adjustments to tightly called game? If you have time, no rush, thanks.

If the refs are calling a close game they tend to do it throughout and it is rare to see a team adjust. They often will drive the lane a bit more knowing that they have a better chance of getting a call.

I hope this answers your question...

Thanks, JT. It looks as if about as many fouls were called in the second half, just not nearly as many shooting fouls. I was thinking that with so many of the first half points coming from the line, it would be asking a lot to expect anywhere near that many in the second, which was true. Given the foul shooting, these guys would have had to shoot quite a bit better from the field in the second half for this to go over, which of course, they didn't. I should have done like you and left it alone. Thanks again.

Portland is toast. No way Phil lets this one slip away. Lakers were out-rebounded (offensively) 14-2 in the first half and I don't think this will happen in the 2nd. Davis and Kemp both in foul trouble.

Lakers +2'

Portland has the energy, but thus far, have not executed. +10 on the boards. lousy shooting, especially from inside. I like them to keep it going, drawing energy from the crowd. Also, Shaq has started missing free throws toward the end of the half.........port -2 for 2 units.

I like the pace for an over. need Port to hit a few more shots. as everybody's favorite announcer, Bill Walton, pointed out......."get the ball to Kerr" That message should sink through to the guys. Also counting on them dropping in at least a couple more from in close. over 95.5 for 2 units.

game 1-1..................-0.2 units.

for the day 2-2................+1.7 units.

for the playoffs 23-9...................+27.2 units.

for the season 256-218................+37.5 units

Been Lay'n Low........

Been Lay'n Low........

cause these playoff games seem to be going opposite of how ya want to play them.

However, I think the over 95' is the play as the "Lake Show" makes sure this one is done.

Cheek's bench should be well rested with Wells and Stot sitting 1H a long time.

Phil won't spare the horses as he wants to rest Shaq and not play a game 4.

Both teams tight in first quarter and have since found the range in 2 quarter!

Play'n-----> LAL/Port over 95'
