Boys, you've been doing good work in here. I've done a little research and this, so I'll pass on the play for me:

Taking: Sweden(-0.5) -280 vs Latvia
...World class players Forsberg and Sundin announced their addition to the squad after their respective NHL teams got bounced out of the Cup race. In total, looks like 9 NHL players for Sweden (including Zetterburg and Norstrom); only 1 NHL player on the Latvian roster (goalie Arturs Irbe). Two of Latvia's better players (Ozolinsh and Zholtok) are still playing in the NHL playoffs.

Looks like a talent mismatch to me. Add in the motivational chip that Sweden will be carrying after their premature exit in the Olympics vs Belarus. Price isn't cheap, but this looks like a winner to me. I'll tip my hat if Irbe stands on his head to deny Sweden.

Good luck.

Forsberg and Sundin are not going to play before Canada game
next week, Irbe is in goal, teams first goalie didn't get insurance yet.

My plays:

Denmark +2? over "USA"-team +100
( why didn't you send your best junior team or something, but this team is awful, Chris Chelios was first going to play but when he saw list of other players he got "personal reasons" not to )
Denmark should have decent goalie and they have been practicing together several weeks, unlike USA who met first time last wednesday.

( FYI centrebet offers totals and handicaps )

5-2 to Denmark

good start,

Germany - Japan OVER 6?
Japan +3?

i don't really know about this game but i have feeling that this
will be a shootout game. Japan has played most games this
year, they won asian-tournament beating
thailand 39-0
china 15-0
south-korea 12-2
kazakhstan 7-2

and wait, that's not all : they played without their two stars
Ryan Kuwabara and Takahito Suzuki !

German has had problems to get ready for this tournament with
late finals of their DEL-league and they lost to Denmark, twice to Switzerland and Belarus.

and just for fun Japan to win +1500 ( just with $20 no more )

Nice call on the Danes, Pet. And yes, the American roster is weak. If you lose, you lose, but 5-2 to the Danes? Lame.

Pet:

I don't think any of these games are being broadcast on American cable, and I don't have the dish.

Looks like my information was pretty lame re Sundin and Forsberg. I read a Sundin quote that he was excited about playing in this tournament. I guess the turnaround after the Toronto series and the long travel translated to Mats not playing yet.

Oh, well, hope they win today. Good luck to your Fins!

Pet:

Who the hell played for the Thailand national team? Do they not have ice in that country? 39-0 is cruel and unusual.

Props to you for nailing Denmark. I saw a total mismatch there with the class jump but I was way off.

Ger 5 -Jap 4, first period ended 4-2 to ger so i thought this is
at least 10-12 goal game, next 0-0 and last 1-2 so over and +3?
both were winners. nice.

Russia and Denmark are playing later today and i take under 6?,
they both won yesterday 5-2, Denmark won usa and ruskies beat
switzerland. i hope both teams take it easy, russians are clear favourites here and redandwhite dynamite might be waiting next
game against switzerland. if they tie that game dens go to playoffs.....

good luck

1837:

Man, how poor have the Americans been in their two games? Not impressive.

Later, man. Happy Sunday.

Pet, nice info on Japan. Good job.

I'm playing Sweden(-0.5) -500 vs Belarus. Not cheap. But Forsberg is playing today. And this is one of the biggest revenge spots imaginable. Forsberg was +52 +/- in the NHL and led the lg in pts. So it's not difficult to imagine how he will be a man amongst boys today.
