Well maybe not for the first game back.......

Madjacksports member "British Bulldog" contacted me and wished to share with other members some interesting results so far this season for going against a home team coming back from a road trip of 4 or more games and playing the the first game with 1 or nil days rest.

So far this season:

When playing against these teams when the line is in the -155/-155 range the results would be:

DATE GAME

10-21 Atlanta (+120) @ Florida 2-3 L
10-24 Colarado (-150) @ Pheonix 3-2 W
10-30 Boston (+120) @ Washington 7-2 W
11-23 Dallas (-135) @ Los Angeles 1-3 L
12-04 Vancouver (+125) @ New Jersey 3-2 W
12-05 Minnesota (-120) @ Calgary 1-1 P
12-12 Tampa Bay (+125) @ Montreal 3-2 W
12-19 New Jersey (-140) @ Pittsburgh 3-1 W
01-04 New Jersey (-105) @ Toronto 1-2 L
01-10 Washington (+100) @ Carolina 4-1 W
01-15 Anahiam (+110) @ Columbus 4-3 W
01-23 Boston (-145) @ Pittsburgh 4-1 W

ALL STAR BREAK

02-12 Toronto (+100) @ Chicago 3-1 W
02-19 NY Islanders (+100) @ San Jose 3-0 W
02-21 Colorado (-120) @ NY Islanders 1-4 L
01-22 Vancouver (+105) @ Edmonton 3-2 W

11 wins 4 losses 1 push

Some might be aware of this angle from the past but for others it could help. Thanks British Bulldog!

The future upcoming games on board for this month to mark your calendars without noting prices are;
23rd Dallas @ Boston
25th Los Angeles @ Columbus
27th Boston @ NY Rangers

It would be interesting if anyone has previous years results that they could post in this thread...

Thanks for the info... it's really weird because I took some time yesterday to figure out the record of all teams when coming back from road trips of 3 or more games, 4 or more games and 5 or more games this season. Unfortunately, I don't have the ATS records not having kept track of that info. Furthermore, I tried to correlate it with the Team Age Average and found out that teams over the Avg age of NHL teams (28.1 yrs old) tend to do much better coming back from 5 game or more roadies this season...

Quick correction to:

The future upcoming games on board for this month to mark your calendars without noting prices are;

The games should read:

25th Dallas @ Boston
27th Los Angeles @ Columbus
27th Boston @ NY Rangers

Thank you for sharing this information with the forum and thank you to "British Bulldog" for his compilation efforts. :D

Here are other games that will fall in the same pattern. I looked at every teams next 3 or more games road trip. Might have to add one or two games at the end of March or in April:

01/MAR Atlanta @ Los Angeles
02/MAR Pittsburgh @ Dallas
02/MAR Atlanta @ Anaheim
07/MAR Florida @ Atlanta
10/MAR Phoenix @ Colorado
15/MAR Tampa Bay @ Montreal
25/MAR New Jersey @ NY Islanders

If I understand correctly, we have one as long as we can get a line, money line that is, at -155 for Dallas... Highly unlikely the way the Bruins have been playing!

England, u.k.
When I was in conversation with IE2002 regarding this trend, it was IE who came up with alterations which make the trend plays more profitable. I would like to thank IE for his help and advice with this trend.

For those that want more action, you may like to use all selections on the moneyline regardless of price. I feel that by using the price stipulation it reduces the amount of $ you have to lay on the chalk, without affecting the win percentage.

I have played this trend for nearly three years, with different angles and each year a profit has been shown. Unfortunatly I lost the results for 2002 and 2001, that is why IE and myself would like some help.

For those that want to play against home team returning home after playing 4 or more games on the road, playing with none or one days rest regardless of price the results to date are;

19 - 14 - 4

I dtd play this trend originally by playing on the away team on the puck line with + / - 0.5 goal. Obviously most plays are in the region of -160 too +110. The results for this trend is;

24 - 13

PLEASE PLAY THESE GAMES. THIS IS A VERY SOLID ANGLE

Win % increases by eliminating road teams that played the night before. Ex- Colo @ NYI Feb.21. this game falls into the angle, but Colo played night befoe.

Thanks British Bulldog! :)

If ever you have other interesting angles to add such as this one, please be sure to drop in her and inform us... An angle like this can definitely support a play that lacks enough "punch". :yup

BTW, the line did go down to -145 for Dallas on the Moneyline, so I guess it would be included in the stats that were brought about initially. But Boston scares me tonight... :shrug:
