Not only that but they took all the damn window shades with them. Do you have any idea how much plantation shutters for an entire lower floor is...holy shit :scared :scared

i hear ya on the shades!

when we moved into our new house i had to go thru and get blinds on all the frigging windows in the whole house.

not fun. and i just ended up going with a wood slat blind from home depot... like 70$ a window!

not to mention the repetitive boredom of putting every one of them up!

not crazy about the built in speakers either...

i picked up a $500 jbl speaker system for 3 and change,and i gotta say,i was a little disappointed with the surround speakers...thankfully, i already had some very nice old dcm front speakers..

the center channel and subwoofer are amazing(particularly the sub woofer,i have it set very low and it still shakes the place)...i would hope that whatever you get has the "lfe" connection on your powered sub-woofer so you don`t have to go through those crazy sub-woofer speaker connections...

btw...i get that the blue ray disc player is the state of the art...but,the hi-def dvd recorder i bought(panasonic) provides a great picture and sound when i record sports or movies...

why would anyone buy a "player" and not a "recorder"?...why buy or rent movies when with a cable subscription you can record them?...and keep `em forever if you want...or just erase them and record something else...

the quality`s damned good...and you can keep the movie`s forever...

i had some old family stuff from a camcorder and up-converted them from tape to disc and they look great and should basically last forever...

do they have blue ray recorders?..how much do they run?...if the players are 5-6 hundred,the recorders have to set you back about a grand...

Extremely happy. No blurring whatsoever.
Not big on the game of baseball but the picture is soo great I actually watch some innings

Yeah HD helped me become a tv-baseball fan too. It really makes you feel more like you are at the game.

Especially with big screens, you feel like you're "in" the game...plus, everyone wants to come over to your house if you're the one with the big screen.

forgot to mention, you may wish to step up to a 50 52 or 56" tv if you have the space!

Actually the 46 is perfect for the room I have. At first I thought it was going to be too big. :SIB

Once you experience it, 46 is the perfect size. At first when shopping around it may seem too large, but the flat panel LCD's don't take up much space and you quickly get used to that nice large screen :0corn

For the money, you will nothing in the same league as Paradigm. They constantly win awards and get great reviews. They will put the "no highs, no lows it must be Bose" and Polk to shame for a cheaper price. You will have to find a reseller in your area that carries them, but that shouldn't be a problem. Go hear them and you will be sold.

Spend the extra money on a good receiver to push them.
