Just went to check my balances (after a rough start) and 1 of my halftime plays (Wash/Tor) I actually clicked the UNDER. i wanted, posted, and rooted for the OVER.

How this happened, i don't know. had a few brewskis with dinner, but i have never done that before. Could have worked against me too.

has this ever happened to anyone before? whether good or bad?
(probably should have posted this in general discussion) just freaked me out. +$210 swing! :D :D

Have done it a couple of times. Usually check everything to a "T", but it has slipped by before......usually not in my favor though

Same thing happened to me on Saturday. Wanted Penn State +5, rooted for them all game (they lost by 6) and when I went to check my balance, I had taken OSU-5.

Ahh, Dumb Luck

Glad it worked out

On the course!
I've forgotten to 'confirm' plays in the past, but I've had that happen on both winners and losers.

usually I have to opposite luck. I want to bet overs, and it goes overs, but by accident, I have bet unders. But that is how my luck always has been in gamlbing, can't seem to get any breaks.

In Vegas a few years back, we were killing time in the Stardust Sports Book and I stuck in a $2 exacta on some race. The teller put the bet in at the wrong track and I didn't notice in time to get it changed so, for 2 bucks, I didn't bother screwing around with it, just waited for the race at the other track. Well, as luck would have it, two long shots come in and the $2 ticket pays me $480! Needless to say, dinner was on me!

Also, I have had it happen to me, especially when I am hurrying, where I forget to confirm. Have had it work in my favor and against me. I am "experienced" enough now where it doesn't happen anymore. Have also went under when I meant to go over and vice versa. Glad I am not the only one. Also have made duplicate bets. :D

This past weekend I meant to take Boise St. but clicked on Ball St. without looking at the number. Both ended up ATS winners, so it didn't matter but I was not happy when I saw the mistake that I made.

WHEW!!! thought i was alone here. LOL! Yeah right.

years ago, before the internet, called in an NBA game to a book cocked out of my socks, the next day my balance was $1,000 higher than it should have been. a $1000 bet??? was funked up but happy. Was shaking my head after that. :D

HOW THE HELL DO YOU KEEP UP WITH EVERY GAME? OR DO YOU JUST FOLLOW THE ONES YOU WANT TO? OR DO ALL THE HALFTIME THREAD SUBMITTERS JUST TAKE A CONSENSUS?

I watch some on the dish, while "watching" some on the computer. Check out a few books for the best line and listen to what the MJ 1/2 time guys put up. Lots of times they contribute some great info that you may have missed.

We have a great bunch of guys that chime in at the 1/2 and it seems like we make some good $$$. Take it for what it's worth. More often than not, the majority of 1/2 time posters, when there is a consensus, are pretty much on target.

Pop in tonight and you will see what I mean. Best of luck and happy winnings t!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

ps: You can't really follow every game. some nights there are too damn many. pick the ones that either you are watching or the ones that the majority seem to favor. just my 2 cents. :)

Band Camp????????

You Nerdbird!!!!!!!!!

:D :thefinger :D

I'm a total space cadet at halftime. checking the stats making my bet, trying to explain myself on the forum. Many times it comes down to the fact I didn't confirm it. Lost a win on TCU second half because I didn't confirm. Much like your actual average in capping, the w/l % will even out. If you're a 55% winner, your screwups should be 55% losers. Lots of varibles and mental attitudes can twist that number for each individual, that's another subject entirely. Shutting up now.

Here's a Variation on that Snafu...

Here's a Variation on that Snafu...

Hi guys,

I don't post here much, but read a lot. I have had both the wrong OV/UN and Side click boo-boos. All minor stuff tho. Here is a bigger botch.

Couple of years ago I was trying to bet on a baseball game I really wanted. It was close to gametime, less than 5 minutes, and I clicked the Confirm button and got the friggin hourglass. I clicked Stop and clicked Confirm again. Still the damn hourglass. By this time I was yelling and cussing out the computer and the internet and the offshore server. So I kept frantically clicking Stop and reclicking Confirm. Gawd I was pissed off. Finally I got a Bet Accepted screen and went out to shop and grab coffee, etc.

I came back to watch the game and (o heavenly day) my bet won! When I went to the sportsbook to lay another bet, my account was almost a thousand bucks higher than it should have been. My head was reeling and I went to my account. It seems I had bet the game 9x instead of once. Holy crap, every once of those Confirm clicks had been accepted as a bet without a Bet Accepted screen.

Always wondered how I would have reacted if I had lost!
