The Detroit Pistons have enjoyed playing the Chicago Bulls since the retirement of Michael Jordan and try for another positive result on Thursday night when the teams meet at the United Center.
Jordan retired from the Bulls for the second time after the 1997-98 season and the Pistons have taken advantage. Detroit is 13-2 against Chicago over that time and enters with a four-game road winning streak in the series.
Detroit ended a three-game losing streak with a 91-80 victory over Atlanta on Wednesday. Richard Hamilton poured in a season-high 32 points on 14-of-26 shooting as the Pistons avenged Saturday's loss at Atlanta.
The Pistons scored 27 points off 23 turnovers by the Hawks and led by as many as 21 points in the third quarter. Clifford Robinson added a season-high 21 points and Corliss Williamson netted 16.
Chicago owns its second two-game winning streak of the year after a 107-87 rout of Orlando on Tuesday. Jalen Rose scored 20 points to lead four Bulls in double figures and Donyell Marshall and Marcus Fizer each added 15.
The Bulls shot 53 percent (38-of-71) and made 23-of-33 free throws. Rookie Jay Williams scored 13 points and Jamal Crawford added 12.
Chicago hadn't not won two in a row since opening the season with suprising victories over the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Hornets and seeks its first three-game winning streak since April 8-11.
Detroit has split 10 road games this year while Chicago is 5-3 at home.
I know alot of guys are on the Bulls tonight, but I just don't see it.
