Coming off an excellent 2nd round where I went 4-1 and won 43.5* last week. Today, don't feel as confident as there are many reasons to back both favorites. However, I have to go with my gut...

San Diego @ New England - Crazy spread when you consider the Chargers are hotter than doughnut grease right now. I know they're beat up, but their defense has been solid lately. Don't have time for a detailed write up.

Anyway, going to play the following:
Chargers +14.5 for 16*
Chargers 1st half +8 for 8*
Chargers ML +675 for 1*
Under 48 for 7*

New York @ Green Bay - Hoping for a classic where the Giants come ready to play and this game is very close 20-17 either way.

G-Men +7.5 for 16*
G-Men 1st half +4.5 (+100) for 8*
G-Men ML +285 for 2*
Under 41.5 for 7*

Dogs & Unders are hopefully the theme for today's games.

One other note is the Chargers were 3.5 point dogs the last time they played @ NE. I know their injury situation should make them a 10 to 11 point dog, but 14.5 is tough to pass. Volek isn't the worst backup I've ever seen as he did lead the Chargers to a win last week. The backdoor cover should also be available if necessary as NE hasn't been blowing out teams like earlier in the season.

I know the G-Men have a banged up secondary and everyone thinks Eli is a little biotch and will cry in the cold. However, I expect Jacobs and Bradshaw to form a lethal duo today and keep this game close as the Giants should run the ball early and often. I also think the SI Cover jinx could hurt the Packers. How many times have you seen a guy on the SI cover, all the public pounds his team and they look like crap?!?!?:shrug:

Dogs and Under plays ought to be called the Bookie Special since the public is usually on the favorites and overs, right?!?!

Anyway.....I am on the Chargers with you, but we're bumping heads on the total.....but like you, i am putting a bit more on the side than the total.

So if the Charges can cover we'll both be happy and one of us will be ecstatic.

Doesn't look really good for San Diego early as Rivers knee is obviously bothering him. San Diego has to run the ball to keep this game close and so far, they haven't run the ball very well. Hopefully San Diego's defense keeps this game close.

I could handle NE 20-7!

Taking New England 2nd quarter -7 (+100) for 4*... hedging on my 1st half play. I don't like the way San Diego's offense looks. I also have a shot at a middle with this play.

FYI - you can turn off avatars and sigs in your usercp. You can even completely ignore certain posters.

Patriots 4th quarter -6 for 5*... nice middle opportunity and was looking for a hedge angle so I can try for another middle.

Nice 1st half middle with Chargers +8 and NE -7 for the 2nd quarter:00hour

Another MONSTER WEEKEND!

Sorry, but I can't change the Avatar as long as I'm winning. Nice to kick ass and take names as both Dogs covered and the Bookmakers won as well. Probably figures I would go the Doggie rout!

Giants-New England Super Bowl... New England will be the largest favorite since SF-SD.
