Today, Monday...

Finally having a poor day, SO FAR, today; $40 worth of crapola in the 4th and lost the prior playable race (3rd) as well. This gives me the opportunity to write what the GOOD NEWS is over the past 8 racing days and to post the remaining PLAYABLE race I'll be playing today - BEFORE THEMS RUM :)

The Philly bombers went wild alright, did they eva. Started with the last (9th) race on the 15th; I LUVED the 7-11 zackta combo. and boxed those two BEFORE I handicapped anything for that race too... and for $4 not so stinkin dollars as well. Got gyped (?) with the zackta payoff ($126 and change) but not one wiener's (7) payoff which was $29.80 and the SIX not so stinkin dollars to win on "Cupcake" worked out just fine.

It was Philly BOMBERS from that day till last Sunday too... caught 3 (or 4?) of them ($50+ wieners) during the next week plus of Philly hoss wacin and two BIG, FAT, JUICEY exactas payoffs that made that $126 one look like peanuts. One was for the whole :))) two dollar ticket and that one was the biggest bonanza of them all. You know, you DON'T look for those bombers, :nono:', thems gotta come to you and that's exactly what they did.

Bottom line is that the bankaroo is more than 3 x what it was when I last posted here and that means the first digit is now a "4", actually close to a "5".

Maybe the good fortune is over cause today ain't going well. Let's see...

Only other playable for today for me, it's the 6th race....

RARELY do something like this..... but I believe today's 6th may be a much more than decent payer. Boxing 5 hosses and there's a full field and NO SQWATCHES :

Boxing1,4,6,7,10 (zacktas). There'll also be DECENT side bet on a 20/1 (M.Ler) but let's just focus on the zacks for now cause I gotta see them before making that bet. K?

Except for sharky, this place is sooo dead that posting anything REGULARLY just ain't worthwhile :(

FIVE minutes to post for the 6th.

Enjoy them Bowl games.

Hmmm.. sure would love to POST a wiener

Hmmm.. sure would love to POST a wiener

Well, the 20/1 morning liner turned out to be the 17/1 that was on the lead or getting pressed for the lead by the dang favorite, , who I didn't care for at all, all the way down the backstretch till the last turn. "Jetpack" didn't look good in the prerace but I went ahead and bet it with 5's and 10's on the side anyway :(.

Put $4 win on nos. 4 and 10 (7/2 wiener) as well, but overall I got clobbered in that race. Make that "CLOBBERED . No playables left, so the bankaroo now starts with a "3" ... almost a "4" though :).

It was HANDICAPPING that gets the credit for my good fortune lately and not so much "L@@KERS" so I'm gonna call it a day. Maybe I'll give it a go here tomorrow? Let's see... Ok, it's the usual action going on here.. 8 folks here - MJ, ME, and 6 "Guests". And Ah --> NO, I didn't invite thems

G.L. ... Gooo A&M. Play them college dudes very sparingly, but I did get on the Aggies bandwagon today and they're prob. still in the first quarter NOW.... kurby

TUE$DAY at Philly, of course

TUE$DAY at Philly, of course

20 STINKIN VIEWers  ... what a disgrace!

Maybe Kicker will stop in today. Last time he did I posted the plicks in something like a "game" format and I liked posting that way. Too bad there were many scratches that day and that ruined the whole thing. I think the track was sloppy that day as well.

Gonna give that "game" thing a go today. IT's no game though cause these are the horses I'll will be focusing on and each race was VERY seriously capped as usual...

Ok, it goes like this --> two picks per race and ONE of them WILL (should?) win the race. Four playable races today:

6th 4,2

7th 6,5

8th 2,4 (These two are the highest rated hosses by quite a bit in this race and I will be using them. BUT, I don't wanna come back here and tellyas that I "cleaned up", assuming that the no. 5 hoss runs first or second. I've been following "Strudle" for awhile now and I was EXTREMLY impressed watching that one real close like in it's last race. I've liked this one for quite awhile. She's not facing state breds today and that's not good, but I ain't gonna let this one payoff without me today IF SHE DOES PAYOFF ANYTHING . BTW, even if she finishes 3rd I just might do a little celebrating .. you know, trifectas, anybody?). Whatever the case is, I will be betting her kinda seriously today. $$$

9th gonna go over this one while the earlier races are going on. I should be around to see if anybody's interested and if so.... I PROB. will post something for the finale.

Oh almost forgot... them footsballers are starting to co-operate with me lately. :)

G.L.

Poo poo happens

Poo poo happens

Interesting site you found, Sharky... thank you.

I only "know" Suarez as a regular rider at Parx and I am sorry bout his misfortune. There've been two stories like this one that did shock me; biggest one happened WAY before most MJers time... a jockey named Michael Hole who was easily the best and most successful rider at Monmouth MANY, MANY moons ago commiting suicide. That was a shocker alright. I remember one day that I was at the track and I believe he won 7 of the races that day :scared: . He was scheduled to ride a really good one in one of Monmouth's biggest races on a Sat.card and was quoted before that race as being very excited about his prospocts of winning that race that was scheduled on a Sat. He killed himself the Thursday before that race.

well, one of my plicks got scwatched in the 6th and my remaining one did "SHOW THE WAY" for about 7/8ths of the wace. :(

On to the 7th...

EDITED: watched the 7th as I was writing this.. SHEEESH! My no. 6 (5/1) ran exactly like my no. 6 did in the 6th. GREAT race to watch though, deadheat for the win spot, 2,7. No. 6 ran third.Woulda luved a 2/6 zackta alright, Dang!

Looking forward to see how "Strudle" does in the upcomming 8th. Gotta be worried about the class hike and the fact that she got RATED poorly in my figures too. But, I've always liked this one and I think she's in good form right now. Also, this one gives a good effort pretty much every time she runs.

We'll see if POSTING and WINNING don't mix AGAIN. :(

No. 4 was a wiener, but I WILL take the Place spot (4/5 zack) with MY longshot plick. Unfortunately, NObody beats carMOUCH in a stretch drive. Strudle went off at 7/1 and looked VERY good. OF COURSE, Mouch was on the winning fav.

Wiener paid $6.00

TWO dollar zack paid...

BINGO... $54.80. (three dollar zack, that's me :) ... paid $87.20:0053 )

Sure glad I mentioned that no. 5 in the post cause I woulda come back and look like a BSer as usual.

SHEET

SHEET

That no. 3 (13-1) WAS looking mighty good in even in late stretch run. Got 3rd; that's hoss wacin forya.

HERE WE GO AGAIN.... :violin: .. KNOW SUMPIN? I had to rush like all hell to cap the 9th and threw out some without going threw the figures. Guess what... I figured in the 3 that I left out of consideration after this race and the no. 5 (the wiener) got rated on TOP. FLUCK!!! Only thing that doesn't require a Preparation H application was that I prob. woulda played zacktas with the no. 5 and the no. 1 would NOT have been in them. Still... FLUCK!

Forget the 10th cuase I'll never get to fully handicap it.

about 7 mins. to post. Don't know about just checking the L@@KERs cause Lookers haven't been working lately.

Happy footsbawllin.

Thanks, Hammy

Thanks, Hammy

I hope you saw the post and maybe got a little Strudel for yourself. I know that even the regulars, like you, don't stop in here much anymore since it's so dead.

Hope the weather holds out for their 4 day week; funny thing going on in Philly lately - the weather is just great for their race days but turns very sour on Weds. or Thurs. when they're off. My RED HOT streak has finally cooled off but I am managing to hold up OK .

Good luck whatever you're up to and .... HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS :00x9
