Hot air balloon ride

Has anyone ever gone on a hot air balloon?
I am thinking of going on one with my girlfriend and was wondering if anyone has ever been on one.

Gave it to my father for a gift, he absolutely loved it. It did however take him a year to finally go, actually about 16 months....you set up a time etc, but if you are going single they put you with another group of people, and then the weather has to be perfect...before they go. He had bad luck, with 6 cancellations.

But once he got up, he absolutely loved it!!

Wife gave one five or 6 yrs ago, it was awesome!! they have a van chasing you, we went in early april, which is the best time to go. We had a very hairy landing in someone's back yard. Company gave us booze once we packed everything. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

You could spell out "Will you marry me?" on the ground. Figure out which way the wind normally blows and coordinate your plan with the balloon company. You will make all your engaged / married buddies jealous.
