Hotels in N.O.

I'm doing bachelor party recon and need a good hotel in New Orleans near Harrahs and the french quarter. we are going the end of Oct if you have any suggestions let me know

If price is not an issue, the Windsor Court is the nicest hotel in NO and it is right across the street from Harrah's.

Lowes hotel is open, and also is across the street from Harrah's.

The W on Poydras is one of my favorite hotels of all time and is directly across the street from Harrah's. I liked their Heavenly beds so much, I bought one.

I stayed in the Fairmont a few years back...nice place. However, I don't really know if it still exist after hurricane.

The fairmont lobby was the staging ground during the hurricane for all the looters to sell their 'merchandise'

Monte Leon, three blocks from Harrahs (bell guy can whistle a cab in 2 secs. for 6-7 bucks total fare) and two stumbling blocks from Bourbon. Lobby bar spins while you sit there. Rooms are old school but nice hotel. Pool on roof and you can get accomadations for the Hospitality rooms for the liquor. We had 14 there in May and it worked great.
