Ron Paul on the Housing Bill

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ron Paul talks about the bailout out of the housing industry and how it really just destroys the dollar and adds enormously to the debt.
Also, slipped into the bill, was the stipulation that ALL credit card transactions must now be reported to the IRS.
Details of today?s housing bill by Dr. Ron Paul:

-$2.5B line of credit to the Treasury (Fannie & Freddie ? ?F & F?) is now ?open-ended?
oUNLIMITED ? Treasury now allowed to buy all ?F & F? housing securities
oCongress no longer involved in appropriating funds (Treasury now does)

-National Debt Ceiling Moved up $800 BILLION (buried in the bill)

- Treasury Bills being exchanged for unwanted ?F & F? securities
oThis is the asset which ?backs up our currency?
oValue of these assets are depreciating
oTreasuries have replaced gold and silver to back US Dollar

-Solution breeds inflation
oPlaces pressure on the US Dollar

-Mortgage industry workers ?will now have to be fingerprinted.?

-All credit card transactions will now be reported to the IRS.

From what I understand of this bill, it is a very bad one at face value. There is entirely too much bailing out of major corporations, let alone individuals. And now the fed has control over much of this? Let's see, who has an interest in the fed? Wow, it's unreal how far the reach of some can go.

And now all CC transactions have to be reported to the IRS? Good luck, credit card bettors!

I thought that pork barrel shit was over with them adding stuff to bills like that.

The bastids cant sign legislation that means anything so they continue to play their games.

How is it remotely possible that the IRS has the capability to track all credit card transactions.

We are talking a few billion probably . They have time to sort through me buying a pair of pants and categorizing that ?

Western Union or Cashiers check is what I have been doing.

We are heading for total financial ruin
....forget the stock market, bonds, treasuries, real estate.
2000 years of history have taught us one thing...gold always shines.

If you buy gold, TAKE PHYSICAL POSSESSION, no paper ownership.

all credit sales..

all credit sales..

 The blog I quoted is usually very reputable....apparently it was misquoted initially....it now states in the pending (at that time bill awaiting Shrubs signature) "all credit sales" apparently in reference to fannie and freddie, and future credit sales

I think the bill was signed....anybody buy a house or land on credit very recently?

Sorry if I unknowingly put out bad scoop...it was not my intention...

I think that we are headed for total disaster.

Sorry DTB and GW, the glass is half full. Don't worry, be happy.

jesus wocky...where you been?...

not only does this bailout the deadbeats...but chris dodd and his friends at fanny mae...

he`s the one that was in bed with them and got the sweetheart deals...he`s one of the main culprits to push this crap through....

but,the media ignored dodd`s impropriety....nancy popsicle(the ultimate lightweight...a true embarrassment to the house and women everywhere)ignored it and blocked any real compromise on energy...

they did pass cell phone legislation...

i agree with ron paul on this one.....

btw..."At approximately 1 p.m. Central, Aug. 1, 2008, Pelosi`s book had an Amazon.com Sales Rank of #1,287 in Books.......

thats "one thousand ,two hundred and eight seven"........

who`s surprised?...she`s a moron..
