im sorry to any astros fans....but this team is pathetic....jimmy williams is just downright stupid.....i mean miller has been struggling all day...and its only 4-1 and you leave him in to pitch the sixth instead of pinch hitting in the bottom of the fifth.....

im looking at this team and wondering what they need..

i know they have had some injuries but there is no excuse with the talent on this team...someone has to be responsible...i mean you getting swept by the pirates for christ sake...

yeh im a lttle bitter because i had them today and the under....but this is long over due...if they were in a decent division they would be long gone by now....

and by the way ...its painful to watch bagwell....trot nixon has better numbers than him....this year ..imagine that

You're right though, with as much talent as that team has they should be doing a lot better than what they are.

But as for the Pirates, watch out they are only 6.5 out maybe 5.5 out after today. lol

no disrespect to the pirates ..CTS...maybe i came off a bit harsh towrards them....PIRATES are playng very respectable ball....

and i would love to see them make a run...but its more a reflection upon the expectations of the astros....

with the talent they have ...they should not be getting swept by anyone....not just the pirates..

ive always been a big astros fan (not sure why) but at some point, the players have to be accountable for their gross underachievment.

everyone is using williams as the scapegoat, but just a few years ago people were saying the same crap about larry dierker.

i know i could be stepping on some toes of die-hard astros fans but i really think the problem with that franchise is that theyve held on to biggio and bagwell far too long. i know its nice to see players stay in one uniform for their entire career (since its so infrequent nowadays) but the reality is that they are both liabilities at this point in their career. its been clear for a few years now that this team needs to go in a different direction

valid points gman...i agree ..as i stated bagwell looks downwright awful right now....

players certainly have to be responsible for thier play...

but when you have a pitcher like miller who was struggling to get out from the 2nd inning on....

your in the 6th inning..and only down 4-1 ..with two men on....miller has just hit two batters in a row....and is leading off the next inning...as a manger you absolutely have to take the kid out...to keep your team in the game..and give your team a shot....

that to me is a no-brainer move ..with the bullpen they have...and is an example of a manager putting his team in a position to lose rather than win....

players are certainly accountable...but in that situation that is the manager mistake in my opinion...
